  1. Could be a weak coil or transistor in the circuit.
  2. Since Hawk hasnt appeared to post a update, I will :-p Delivered a starter to him yesterday, his had a broken snout. I assume from trying to start a semi hydro-locked engine. He did a short oil change to flush out some of the water and it ran, spitting out water and steaming.......but it ran! He also needs to weld up 2 front lift blocks that broke I'll let him to you how he feels about beating the snot out of his DD
  3. Yes, a EA82T will bolt right up. The TD04 is not a direct bolt up, need to cut the flange off a WRX up-pipe and weld it onto the EA up-pipe then deal with the DP back exhaust. And expect this engine to grenade within 100mi (or less).
  4. This is true. And if you do find one, expect to rebuild it. The last one I got from a yard had a rod knock and I spun a cam key on one of the heads.
  5. No, not normally. But it sounds like you have so many "mods" done to this car that its going to be extremely difficult to track down your problem. You've already gone thru the basic OEM stuff, maybe you should start looking at things you have changed (fuel pump circuitry for instance).
  6. I still have the piece in my RX, never had any issues with.
  7. I thought the outside temp gauge is XT6 specific and part of the trip computer? If he's got a XT6 why should it need changed?
  8. I'm looking up some links over at the XT forum, I'll try and find more later. http://subaruxt.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=8804&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=digidash http://subaruxt.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=9555&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=digidash http://subaruxt.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=11422&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=digidash
  9. I'm not sure Schwabs will align it with the lift on (not 100% sure tho). Give me a call later, I might be able to look at it.
  10. I went back and read the thread. I'm really surprised because the person that recommended him would never steer someone in the wrong direction. I myself would never hesitate going somewhere he mentioned. Very perplexing and I will have a talk with him about it. Sorry you had such a bad experience with the shop/mechanic.
  11. Swapping in a EJ (read my thread in the retrofit forum)
  12. I'll take a led flashlight and see whats in there. I'll also look for a plug/connector in the wiring diagram (got to scan them anyway)
  13. Hopefully it wasnt someone from here that recommended him :-\ And I wouldnt let him touch your car again, he might make things worse.
  14. Save up for the whole shebang. HG's, all the seals/gaskets and oil pump kit. Get the oil pump stuff at Auburn Subaru and tell them you want the internet price. The rest you can find online for cheaper.
  15. Yes indeed, I have picked up a few for less than that price!
  16. How old is the gas? How long did you run it before getting it tested?
  17. Yup, your right. My parts book only goes to 88 and didnt show it. Went to Fitz's site and found the info.
