  1. Nothing new for me, just upgrades And depending on location, I may stay home this year.
  2. I've had reports of other posts dissapearing, so yours isnt the only one. Dont know whats going on tho.
  3. I dont think it was a recall, but there was a fix/remedy for something dealing with the steering (jumper wire from plug to unit). Doing a search over on the XT forum should get results. http://subaruxt.com/forum/viewforum.php
  4. Got a nice new big aluminum front bumper on it too :-p
  5. This discussion should never involved Legacy stuff, you were talking XT6 before. Cant put Legacy on a 5 lug swap unless you weld a adapter plate on the backing plate/hub. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=96674. Use XT6 rotors. XT6 pads will work also.
  6. Yes, its the same setup I have on m 89 RX. Altho I havent got the ebrake cables routed or the handle installed yet
  7. Ummm, he also happened to be the Gov of Calif from 67-75 and Pres from 81-89. Younglings
  8. Have fun with it! Did you also read about the love/hate relationship I had with the old engine (EA82T)? I went thru 4 blocks then put in a rebuilt from CCR. It was running a TD04 and TMIC and did ok till I was doing some donuts in the snow and it got oil starved on one side. After that I did a swap, went to a EJ22T and couldnt be happier. Even a NA EJ22 would be better than what you have in it now.
  9. This was on ebay several years ago... Venturi 300 Atlantique
  10. This is called a Weasel, produced during WW2. A friend of mine bought it from another friend and I helped him rebuild it. We used it for tree cutting/logging. Was made by Studebaker and had a straight 6 with a 3spd OD trans. Went pretty good over all surfaces. Pic was taken back in 1978. I also drove this around for several years, thats me on the left.
  11. Sad to see a black RX end up like this Not sure if you are aware how rare these are, look in my gallery to see mine. Damage is already done, so have fun with it. They make great RallyX'rs.
  12. Front or rear? Should be no difference for the front, the rear might be - I'll take a look at my parts book later. And I cant edit that chart, sorry :-p
  13. That was my first EA81T rebuild (HG and seals). This picture was even used by someone trying to sell a engine on ebay
  14. The doors will fit your Brat also, just not the glass.
  15. Keep your eyes open locals. Buddy had his XT6 stolen last night from his house. Plate number is LP- 447-XMC.
  16. Could be a weak coil or transistor in the circuit.
  17. Since Hawk hasnt appeared to post a update, I will :-p Delivered a starter to him yesterday, his had a broken snout. I assume from trying to start a semi hydro-locked engine. He did a short oil change to flush out some of the water and it ran, spitting out water and steaming.......but it ran! He also needs to weld up 2 front lift blocks that broke I'll let him to you how he feels about beating the snot out of his DD
  18. Yes, a EA82T will bolt right up. The TD04 is not a direct bolt up, need to cut the flange off a WRX up-pipe and weld it onto the EA up-pipe then deal with the DP back exhaust. And expect this engine to grenade within 100mi (or less).
  19. This is true. And if you do find one, expect to rebuild it. The last one I got from a yard had a rod knock and I spun a cam key on one of the heads.
  20. No, not normally. But it sounds like you have so many "mods" done to this car that its going to be extremely difficult to track down your problem. You've already gone thru the basic OEM stuff, maybe you should start looking at things you have changed (fuel pump circuitry for instance).
