    Wait, I just realized its a EA81. I'm rechecking... The drive gear is on the end of the crank, behind the seal. It will be a pita to check.....

    Remove the valve cover and check the gear on the cam.

    Could be a cracked disty cap.

    Have you looked on the inside for any stamping? This might give a clue.

    Part numbers are different in the book for the turbo's and XT6. I believe its for diameter and not length tho.

    Well, that certainly inspires me Off to the wrecking yard!

    The bulb connections are different, so it will mean changing the sockets to match. As far as I know, theres no bulb that fits which is brighter.
