  1. Is all this excitement to see me, or is it for Connie's cooking?
  2. Hell or high water wont keep me from this one. I havent been out wheeling since all the snow melted up there :-\
  3. If you happen to see the car again, find out what the dealer sticker on the back lid says. Maybe we can get some info from them on this edition. Usually they have some goodies added to the car then just some decals. I wish this was close to me, I would haul it home :-\ Oh yeah, find out what year it is also.
  4. It could be a 2 row, or just a newer one. Normally the old ones dont cool worth a darn.
  5. You should be happy its running cold. Its a EA82T, anything warmer and I would start worrying. If it aint broke, dont fix it And if the heater blows hot air, you dont have nothing to worry about in Winter.
  6. Its a BBQ, not a work party I'm totally in the dark on this one
  7. The 4EAT has its own computer. So it should be no hassle with wiring. What you might encounter is a problem with the torque converter. I dont know if the Loyale TC will mate up with the EJ and/or the other way around. The way to find out is to have a 4EAT flexplate and see if it mates up to the EJ output. If that doesnt work, try fitting a EJ TC to the 4EAT input.
  8. You seriously need a manual. Go to the parts store and pick one up. Even a Haynes is better than nothing. Get the cooling system flushed and do a search for a new 2 core radiator.
  9. Have you seen my place lately? Coupes are cake to strip, not a whole lot of stuff to take off. If it has a title, its a shell on a flat bed when it leaves. Too much time/work to cut it up. Try stripping a SVX sometime. It took 3 people the better part of a day to strip a 92 I had. And that was sans engine/running gear.
  10. Wow, guess I cant always be right eh? And I blame it partially on my library. My 88 FSM is for XT's Damn Subaru and their inconsistencies
  11. Any questions regarding engine swaps should be directed to the Retrofit Forum.
  12. Dont waste your money on the 2.5. Better off with a 2.0 thats already setup for turbo.
  13. I may have forgot, but what color is the SVX and does it have a front bumper? At least you finally got a headlight.
  14. There is nothing in the FSM's from 86 to 89 that show a 4wd 3AT thats 3.9. My 88 parts book also shows all the 3AT's as a 3.7 final drive. Personally, I have never seen one. So if there is a 3AT out there thats a 3.9, its a freak of Subaru nature
  15. Hah, I looked in 2 different FSM's to make sure :-p Nik, the 4EAT FT will be 3.7, even the turbo's. Heres a weird one tho - the XT GL 4WD with 5spd S/R is 3.7 :-\
  16. Last time I checked, all 3AT's were 3.7 The Fulltime 5spd's(except XT6) and 4EAT are also 3.7
  17. I would use option #1. It brings you close by a few of us and if you get lost it will be easier to find you :-p Never been up Fiske Rd, it may be closed due to logging further up tho. And I should have a open seat, in whatever I bring.
  18. It should be a 3.7 diff, theres a tag on the back cover where it should say. The fluid might be a little dark, depending on how old it is. Otherwise it should be gold in color. Remove the top plug on the back cover and put your finger in the hole. It fluid should be up to the bottom of the hole. Use 80-90 weight gear oil.
  19. I had my header break right at the point where they meet. But I lost ALL boost when that happened :-\ Hopefully yours isnt in the same place. I might have another one floating around in my shed.
  20. First off, what was the tranny that got rebuilt? 5spd D/R? 5spd Fulltime? 4EAT? All of these depend on what you run in the rear for a diff. The Dual Range will use a 3.9 diff, the others use a 3.7 diff. A 3.9 diff is easy to find, at least here in the PNW.
