  1. Where did you find the diode, in the FSM schematic? EDIT Ok, I just looked in the FSM. I bet its in the timer. Theres a bracket by the drivers side strut tower that holds 3 units. One is the timer, the other 2 are the relays. From the looks of it, the timer is the biggest and its square.
  2. Fuel cut would affect all 4 cylinders and only at WOT. I suspect a bad injector or circuit to it. Does it have new plug wires?
  3. This is the way it should be done. A 10ft 4x4 across the trusses will support alot of weight. Just make sure you get one without alot of knots. I once made a teepee out of birch trees and pulled a V8 block out of a Ford. I am the ultimate redneck mechanic Well, after backwoods boy :-p
  4. I just got back from the store. I bought some Benadryl spray and I have some hydrocortisone cream to try if that doesnt work.

  6. Yeah, that would really suck. But thats where this community comes in. I would just give Chef Tim a call if it was me Yes! Its good to be back home It was all worth it tho and I plan on doing it again, maybe next Fall. I plan on doing things a bit different, my rental car got 1200mi put on it and was a gutless wonder (Dodge Journey). I will be a bit more picky next time on what I get. It was funny to hear the guys comment when I brought it back almost bone dry on fuel. I pre-paid, so it wasnt a issue. The gas light was on for the last 10mi And I await the letter from Thrifty about my "EZ Pass".......bypass incident It was a treat when Briggs joined the BBQ via txt/phone and him and John started up the "Death Match" again It was like the icing on the cake. I will try and drag him out with me next time. Speaking of cake..... Jess I found out after you left that you made that from scratch It was great meeting Moosen, just wish he more awake and would have stayed longer :-p Next time buddy. Oh, and some guy showed up in a lifted OB. Glad you could make it out Nipper And Steve and his awesome EA8 Sedan. It was great talking shop. Would love to see you all make it out to a Show in the future. And thanks again to Connie for putting up with me for a couple of days and throwing a great BBQ. Those burgers are sooooooooo good Oh, and everything you hear about East Coast drivers is true. They are friggin nuts! I was looking for a seatbelt when the l got a ride from the car rental shuttle bus driver. Watch yourself around the Hartford Airport, she will run you off the road People routinely drive 20 over. I was in the passing lane (yes, passing) and I saw the car behind me pull over. There was a trooper behind me now and I was doing 80. I pulled into the center lane and he just went on his merry way, at about 90. And this happened twice on the same day, same road. But I found out on the day I was headed back to the airport to fly home, that us PNW have one up on you when it rains (at least the ones that dont drive Subaru's). Hit a bad TS and it was hailing and raining super hard and all of a sudden cars were pulling off the road left and right with their flashers on. Thats typical driving conditions here for 4mo out of the year I was laughing about it, but also a little frustrated because I was real low on gas and the car was due back at 3:15. Glad to be home, got a sore butt from all the traveling, but also lots of good memories.
  7. Well, its a good thing I had a great time and my road trip was un-eventful. Cause the flight part is really sucking :-\ This time it was weather. They had to figure out a new route to Atlanta because of bad weather, so we sat at the gate for 1/2hr. Which caused me to miss my connecting flight by 10min Actually, the weather was bad enough where I flew out of (Hartford, CT) they closed it down right after we took off. So, here I sit at the Atlanta airport. My flight leaves at 8:30 in the morning. Time to watch a movie on my laptop I guess.

  9. It was great meeting everyone and seeing a few familiar faces too. Got some pics, will post them up tomorrow.
  10. Its called a banjo fitting. The bolt has a hole thru have a brassit for the oil. It should also have a brass washer on both sides of the bolt. This might be causing the leaking if one is missing. The only way to find out if the turbo is any good is to open both ends and check for shaft play.

  12. Well, I made it to Coniie's place. Missed one of my hiways and had to switch to a different route, but I only lost maybe a 1/2hr. Cant wait for tomorrow!
  13. Well, I didnt get a chance to read that before I left PI. The weather was perfect there. Cloudy, not to hot or humid. No moose encounters It was great meeting up with you. Unfortunately the time flew and midnight hit and I turned into a pumpkin:confused: (Wallys closed at 12:rolleyes:) I sure hope you can make it. I hit rain in Portland and it just got worse the further south I went. By the time I got to Mass. it was a friggin monsoon.......just like home! Hydroplaning at 70mph in the dark, woohoo! Theres no way you can blame this on me, it was crappy before I flew out:-p I'm sitting here in front of Seahags little restaurant - its 4:30am. Time for a nap.
  14. Heading NE this morning. So far I have about 400mi on the odo, with more to go. Traffic outside of Boston reminded me of Seattle Really liking the country up here tho.
  15. Yes, the main reason for this trip was to go to Mars Hill, Maine. Its where my Dads side of the family is from and they have a cemetery there, with a plot for my Dad. I need to put the dates on it :-\ And of course I couldnt come all the way out here and not visit folks.

Hoping my bag is on the next flight in, which of course doesnt get here till 2:30pm:mad: I cant leave without it, it has important papers in it, not to mention all the clothes I need. My Sis has got me a motel room in Newport, Maine to crash at tonight. It sure puts my plans in a bind.
  17. No rivets. There are plastic tabs on the trim that pop thru the metal. Can be a pita to remove :-\

  20. Hatch's float pretty good. Just seal up most of the belly and get some big balloon tires. I wasnt touching ground when I was in the deepest part of this pond. My tires were acting as paddles and I was moving about a inch-2sec. After about 8ft' date=' I finally got contact with mud and pulled out.
