  1. The best fix is to replace it with a newer (96+) 4EAT. The problems with the overheating and weak valves were corrected. Some people have tried flushing them, with mixed results. Sometimes the bands can be tightened, which helps for a little bit but they eventually totally fail. If you want to do some reading on it, go over to http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=30&f=5 and search for 4EAT transmission. Get ready for alot of reading
  2. Hey, make sure your around when I swing thru on the 23rd or 24th.
  3. Check the firewall where the cables come thru. I know I had this problem once when one of the plugs popped out for the speedo cable.
  4. Not to many rigs without lifts make it all the way up 311. Years ago it was possible, but the last 4-5yrs has been tough on the trail. I made it up a few times last year, but my Hatch is over built.
  5. I only drink NA beer. I dont know if I'll be able to find any, seeing how I'm not familiar with the area. But if someone could pick up a 6 pack of St. Pauli NA for me, I will pay you back.
  6. Last time I tried the entrance to 311, I almost rolled my Hatch. And it was dry!
  7. My first lifted Subaru. Up at Rieter several years back. Up at Rieter again. I always get a kick out of this pic.
  8. We need to find a treatment plan for you And I thought I was bad
  9. Umm, dont think so. They are quite different and may even have different harness's.
  10. If a thread like that gets posted here, just hit "Report Post" symbol and ask a Mod to move it. I've done that a few times now and it works pretty quickly.
  11. The mechanic has a cracked block :-\ Sound to me it needs a new radiator. Heck of alot cheaper than a new block.
  12. 6K Warn on the front of my Hatch. I think we have enough winches to pull out a tank :-p
  13. They arent pink, they are brown. Bad lighting The typical EA82 injector uses a short hose from the fuel rail to the injector also.
  14. All the PCV hoses still connected? Had something like this happen to me when I crossed some hoses on a carbed EA82. My wife was behind me and she thought I was on fire.
  15. Yeah, I'll have the younger one for sure (15), dont think the older one is coming. Ian will play with almost any age kid, as long as they are into Bakugan, Yui-Gi-Oh, Halo and Star Wars :-p
  16. When I pull into the driveway? :-p That could be sometime on Fri But I may pass out after driving 10+hours
  17. I've had 3 SVXi. Currently down to one, and its in a non-running state atm. But it does help to have a stash of parts, but god forbid if you part one out before its time
  18. I was actually thinking about how 4 TBI injectors would work in a MPFI. Or, I could just be a little off from the heat we have been having here in Puget Sound lately I just got these on Ebay the other day. 90-93 Mitsubishi Eclipse DOHC. They are rated at 250cc. Next purchase will be a Walbro fuel pump and a regulator. Sorry, crappy cell phone pic
