dangit, ea82t is annoying me.
Well, first off the lifters need to be pumped up either by hand or when you first start you car after say, a HG job... Second, mine smoked when I restarted my motor after a reseal (didnt smoke before) but it quickly wore itself out..

Locknut tool?
On the swing-arm in the rear, on the side facing toward the inside of the car theres a locknut with 4 tabs that is removed to allow the bearing on that side to be removed. Seems like everytime I need to get that out I have to fight it for about an hour before it lets me win. Is there a tool where I can just put it on and get it over with? Part number of some kind maybe for a special tool? Thanks.

$ for MAF and O2?
wrong... OBD 1 doesnt have a comprehensive mode for missing sensors or extremely false inputs. By having no o2 sensor.. your gonna be stuck in safe mode.

Electrical system, Why......
Could be a voltage regulator... most are internal meaning you might need another alternator.. but before you go doin all that, check the connections at the back of the alternator.. ive had the wire back there get cut about 3/4 of the way through and it caused an irratic charge reading.

Radiator and temperature question...
Easy fix... install an aftermarket temp gauge.. when i have a 180 tstat in.. it never gets above 195 or so and thats going up some serious hills with roughly 1000-1500 pounds of crap in the back.

HELP!! Brake drums
No no no, you need a big f'n hammer.. what happens is the shoes over time wear the inside of the drum down and theres a little lip that ends up hanging up.. you need to just brute past it.. I'm guessing your brakes are about 1% by the time they get to this point.. atleast mine have been.
