  1. Please excuse my corn-fused look (scratches his frazzled old bean) Why not just read the code it's telling you?? Please see page 5 of 5 in this link http://www.endwrench.com/pdf/drivetrain/02Winter4EATDiagServ.pdf
  2. I really think you should listen to this young lady. She knows more than 95% of us do!! Her suggestion has been recommended before. We are a Subaru board, that's a "scatter gun" approach. You own a specific and somewhat rare form of Subaru Take aim with a rife son, you may hit something. Good luck with whatever you choose.
  3. well done, Si Loin, as usual!! (thanks for the lathe ect comps) I used the above linked calculator sizing seieing how Porc has about maxed out the height and assuming you stay with 70 series tires on your rims You could run 245/70 R14's (if you can find them) and gain about 2" ground clearence. Does that help?
  4. you must have planted some serious money trees in your yard. two STi engines/wiring ect plus all the EA82 D/R trannys you will need. (what one per week or so??) Key Rumba, please do keep us updated!!
  5. Not really on topic, but I just changed the front which has a heater (that is what failed on mine) It's a four wire. 2 for the heater and two for the A/F ratio (02 content) signal, I assume. edited to add it's made by Denso
  6. " Yes, thats why I am getting two!" Whew boy, I'm staying out of this one. Good luck Gary
  7. shame on me AGAIN!! I'm given this helpin' stuff up until I learn to read!! Sorry EVO, listen to the Porc he has his poop in a pile. I missed the "Sensor 2" I would assume the sensor needs a heater circuit to keep from tripping the CEL? Thus a univ. single wire will not work. Can you confirm or refute this Porc?
  8. I'm afraid not.Reason: The brake light filament and the turn signal are the same on the trailer. If you wired it as you say, when the brakes were applied the current would feed back through the TS wiring into the car. Using semiconductors (probably SCRs) the box separates the brake lights needed for the common filaments on the trailer. And integrates the car's separate turnsignal signals. Hope this helps a little.
  9. I would check your solder connection but I'm afraid it's time.
  10. the distance between the hub center and the mentioned spring plate is the limiting factor. Taller narrower tires could hit it with the sidewall which is worse than with the tread. Have you seen this for seeing what tires are what height? http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
  11. I have 205/60's on my 94 wagon As Porcupine points out the problem is between the rear strut spring plate and the tire. I am running Forester rims. I had some old rotors around, so I cranked up my mid size lathe and made spacers buy cutting the "hat" off.
  12. It seem to run just fine untill the inspection ran outabout 9 mo. ago. (see below) I'm sorry, Gary. This question is very hard to answer and does not really belong in this topic as the tranny has a bad drive gear for VSS#2. It is therefore in a "limp mode". No VSS => CEL after so many drive cycles. Readiness monitors are still not set, so no sticker for me in Pee Aye. Again off topic, I am working on a phool the pooter phix and will report in it's own post. Thanks once again for all the help. I hope this entire debacle helps Jules and some one else with the MAP/Baro sensor ordeal.
  13. Sorry, guys I'd like to get back on topic. Shame on me, I know but I promised. I checked the orig. intake manifold for the "T" that was mentioned. Sure enough just as OB99W said it connected to the FPR (Fuel Pres. Regulator) So I swapped the lines (the "T" fitting is NOT on the line from the 95 EJ22 that I used). The Map/baro sensor line connected, used my scanner to erase the code, started her up, and No Codes!! I'll just take a minute to thank everyone involved! Maybe we should mention this to other EJ22 swappers. Here is the best I could do when mounted
  14. it will be assumed with all the work you have done that 1) all battery cables their connectors have all been cleaned 2) the Alt. output lead to the fusible links is in good condition where it meets the links 3) the belt is tight and in good condition. correct?
  15. ^^^^^^^^ Could not be better put. I'll just add the non-intereference aspect is a draw to some of us.
  16. and your lucky you don't need an IM sticker. CEL = fail here in my part of PA
  17. I have two Legacy Touring wagons 93,94 if you need specific pictures or help please ask. If you are going for it I would suggest highly that you join this forum http://bbs.legacycentral.org/
  18. You could seardh for an engine here http://subarujusty.proboards20.com/ I mean theys only do Justy's vis-a-vis they might be able to help?
  19. Okay guys, Please let me rectify the situation. First, thanks for the help, I'll email ya Dave. Second, I'm the big dummie (so called by I) Here I am, offering all this help and then standing "nekid" in front of the crowd. (hangs his head in the shame of it all) thanks Steve if you're watchin' Third, My man OB99W nailed it with his picture. (pictures do help, I hope we all learn a lesson from this) My swapped engine did not have this "T" fitting he shows. As my penitence.. I will and do so promise to correct this error tomorrow and post a follow up. I will just possibly - add a "must check" on EJ25 to EJ22 swaps for all those interested. We/I owe a thanks once again to Jules for asking and to Gary for bringing up the filter. Thanks to all, I'll go grab a towel now to cover my privates.
  20. First, a thaks to Jules for posting this. Second, a thanks to Gary for mentioning the filter. Third, I confess to being a big dummie - Red Fox size. My 97 OB with a 2.2 swap also has this error code. That is why I knew where to look to take the picture. Now the big dummie part. I went out to get a picture for Jules of the filter and lo and behold. Mine is hanging on the end of a hose going nowhere!!! Can anyone tell me where it is suppose to connect. I saw no open nipples on the intake. Ya big dummie!!
  21. Gary, I think I know from where Wayd is speaking To true to true It's down there somewhere.
  22. Howdy J, We will assume you mean P0106 My documentation says P0106 Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit Range/Performance Problem The MAP / Baro sensors and their exchange solenoid are located on the pass side strut tower. Make sure the line from them is connected to the intake manifold. You could test the solenoid but testing beyond that is not in my inventory. Hope this helps
