1991 Loyale Running To Cool?
Skip replied to ()__1337_CRAYOLA__()>'s topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
check your FSM on AC MAX for me... must be my winters or my heavy breathing ;^) I am sure you know Defrost runs the AC to dehumidify the air. Here is the fix that allows you to use AC in any position and only the positions you want. I like AC in Bi-Level, cool feet in the summer is neat! Add a simple SPST switch inplace of the micro switch. I added a rocker switch in the blank beside the blower speed knob. -
Buddy, this issue is a raging debate. Covered many many many times. The fix is a) Replace starter solenoid contacts Add a "never fail" button c) Add the starter relay the factory didn't. This may be the problem and not the Neverstart battery. There are many posts on how to test if one of the above problems is what you are dealing with.

Howdy Bush, you might consider telling what type tranny you have (manual/auto) and or creating your own post

+10 on that, those 15 degrees make a big difference. The "AC max" postion also does this. (you may expierence a large amount of interior condensation in this "mode") I have an easy way to control the AC compressor when using this position (or any position) if you are interested. The entire AC system is controlled by a microswitch behind the center console, wiring a switch to by pass it is easy. (I also plug the under the front seats output vents with aluminum foil This keeps keep the cockpit warmer where I is) -
On a similar note: These leaks we are pointing out all for the most part are "seepers" (please excuse the semantics) AZTOAK, is driving the Exxon Valdez. I once had this happen (1qt/20 feet) to an EA82T so it may not be relevant. But, due to a severe clog in the PVC system the crankcase pressure became so high it blew a seal out of it's housing. Could this be part of his problem?

Gary, this is an H6, I don't think they came with a manual tranny. I like the old cotton rope in the spark plug hole but with where theses plugs are, the clearance and stuff, the flexplate lock may be better. Mr. Dbullen sir, 127 N M =93 ft lb that sounds low to me. Other EJ series engines use 125 ft lb or ~ 175 N M This may have changed for the H6, you might want to double check as a crank pulley is a bad thing to come loose. Many many posts on it.

The torsion bar idea is intriguing. I do have a question, I looked at my Brat rear. It appears the tire, when turned, would hit the TB? Do you plan to angle them or maybe offset the wheel? A brain that is not exercised, atrophies.

Please, I don't want to raise any hackles. I for one (and I assume Frank also) applaud you gentleman for making efforts to retain your cat. It shows maturity beyond your years. It's kewl to know there are guys here that feel the environment is worth keeping an eye on. Thanks guys, keep up the good work. Note: I am not chastising those who can't / won't for one reason or another, just rewarding those with a conscience for the future.

Pug Wats, gotta luv em!! The steel oval slot wheel above the truck bed. THREE (3) lugnutz!! I have a Peugeot 204 (four speed on the tree) and a 304, both FWD "breaks" (wagons) The both have 3 lug wheels. The nuts have a rotating "saddle" on them, hubcap bolts to the wheel through the center. Ah the French engineering.

Great pictures!! Talk about "worth a kiloword" that's a megaword!! -
Tim he says "The only thing that works is Park." If the axle striped it's splines would it still lock the front end? I thought not. I think we had a post recently where the CV broke and the car, while in park drifted out of the parking spot? Would be worth a try though.

cd thats a bummer (just a tip it's a "3AT" not 3EA) incase you go searching the search needs four letters, use the wild card * i.e. 3AT* First guess is low fluid level. You said you checked it but.. It is very hard to check these tranny's fluid level. I'd check it again warm, running in park. Some Lucas tranny honey may help

VIN Help Needed- What's in this car?
Skip replied to silentfive's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
IIRC all 5 speeds in 81 were FWD only 4wd models only had four speeds. Try another VIN checker maybe? -
Here is a shot of mine just before install to end plates to the where the tiedown eye brackets are and forward end to the gas tank rear mounting lip hope this helps.
