  1. Sounds like your getting some fun stuff done - good luck and keep us updated :-) - Erik - Tacoma, WA -
  2. hehehehehe you're "before" picture looks like my "after" pictures... I wouldn't worry about it.... but then again you aren't me... I suggest the blowdryer+hammering method if it's really bothering you... slight dents make good conversation pieces though (if you approach them in the right manner ) - Erik - Tacoma, WA -
  3. Jeff: great job!!! I like it so much I say keep the same setup - but plug in an SVX front shot where the middle (bigest) WRX front shot is - and hopefully someone has an XT daytime snow-shot so it can plug right into the upper left corner like the rallycar, that beautiful fade job is worth keeping. And since that will leave only rallycar on the bottom - maybe it can be moved to the left so more of it is seen so the impreza folks have some eye-candy as well. Thats my 1/50th of a dollar. Once again - good show - Erik - Tacoma, WA -
  4. I'm going to make the run, but whether I can hack it on isabelle trail will rely on how much skill-experience I can pick up in the next few months. My car at this point is pretty close to the requirements (4/3 lift, 27inch meats (pretty beefy), weber, etc) - I just need to get a welded rearend and a few spare axles... come'a'long too. Can caravan North with you too. You live in gig-harbor right? - if so you cruise right by my house en-route to I-5. - Erik Hosa - Tacoma, WA -
  5. Seeing as its the 10th now, and other personal circumstances - I'm going to have to bow out for this one. Need to spend the day making $$$, sorry guys - Erik Hosa - Tacoma, WA -
  6. Nice to see another "BratMobile" - my old sig. way way back in the day was "ROBIN - TO THE BRATCAVE!!!!" (aka my garage) But the names that stick... 83 BRAT - Bratwerst - I like brats, and brats - and the spelling is a little off because well... the brat's a "little off" as well :-p 82 GL wagon - DER VVAGON - was originally THE WAGON, but then I got another wagon... so in keeping with the Bratwerst theme, and being German myself... Der VVagon just fit (2 V's to look like a W - but so you pronounce it "Vagon" 81 GL wagon - The "little" wagon - compared to the lifted/custom bumper'd/yotawheeled 82... it IS little. - Erik Hosa - Tacoma, WA -
  7. Just turned out to be a wire someone had tried to use as a "hot" that was in the light circuit (dash/park/tail). Needless to say when I tested them it was a 'dead wire' by normal standards (no power with ignitino off, ACC, or ON) - so I taped it up with the other loose (old) speaker wires, and thats what was shorting out. Now I've learned my lesson - taped A thanks to Russ and Andrew though for trying to help me figure this out (Russ, surely enough it seems it was the power for the light in the old radio) btw - heres a pic of the "final product": I have a 5spd d/r in an 82 wagon and took the non-jerry's kit route and did my own thing. The storage space and deck position is *awesome* - still trying to find one in tan, and going to get a custom boot sewn up. - Erik Hosa - Tacoma, WA -
  8. **CLEARS THROAT REDICULOUSLY LOUD** at least two somebodies - I've only got a little experience, but my little bastard is good to go! (Der VVagon). But I'm only one of a few with lifted rigs - so a lot-burner would be a'ok. Thanks for the address Shean. - Erik Hosa - Tacoma, WA -
  9. Sometimes I just can't get ahead... *edit* - car is 82 GL wagon, 4wd Well, for some mysterious reason Everything having to do with that fuse is now refusing to work. this is an 82 - the fuse box cover says "Ig. Coil/Guages" - and sure enough if I pull the fuse (good) the car will stop running - but everything else on it has quit on me, ie: Dash, front park lights, and tail lights (haven't checked license plate light). This is really puzzling me though - what could be stopping all of those seperate things from working WITHOUT blowing the fuse??? Anyone have this happen to them before? - If so what was it, how'd you remedy it. To those of you who know I put in a stereo today - I dont see how it can be correlated; I only used a single hot that was already hanging down from previous stereos (and I tested it and it was hot with ACC/ON - unlike the parklights, which on an 82 are hot at all times) - Erik Hosa - Tacoma, wA -
  10. Someone get me a mapquest to the pepperdocks and I'll see how it goes from there - Erik Hosa - Tacoma, WA -
  11. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH THAT THING IS NUTS!
  12. I know for around here thats too far gone in most peoples eyes - I see nothing un-fixable there. Not even a lot of money if you have the tools - just some time and a lot of primer See people working with worse fords and chevy's all the time - its just a matter of passion towards soobs - and welcome to the club! - Erik Hosa - Tacoma, WA -
  13. I should be up for it. You already know what my scary rump roast looks like too (and Der VVagon) - I can drive within reason if its on a saturday... I start school again next monday. See you round man. Btw - that engine I was pulling is now running/driving around in the 81 I sold Though it made my lifted wagon jelous (clutch cable snapped on the way home from PAP, engine in back and all) The local guy I've sold it to also wants to offroad, *score* - Erik Hosa - Tacoma, WA -
  14. Always helps to list what year/model/EA81 etc so people can help you out from there - just a friendly reminder Does sound odd though - I can't even take a stab at this one other than trans shot? - Erik Hosa - Tacoma, WA -
  15. I actually wanted it for myself - but you're in more dire need of it... Austin, talk to mark - he has one FS, you can have my spot in line if you like... - Erik Hosa - Tacoma, WA -
  16. I have an idea in mind - but dont want to go ripping everything apart - THEN think about how I'm going ot get it to work. Here's what I want to know Could I run a larger style (like the double headlight soobs) light off of the stock wiring, and still have a set of smaller lights (like the quad setup) to come on like they would on standard high-beams? I dont mind doing some wire-for-wire splicing, but if the plugs match up even better! - I guess I could have just asked if using stock wiring, if the light would be dimmer going from small to big lights...(for low-beam use only) - Erik Hosa - Tacoma, WA -
  17. awwwww. c'mon guys - PICS! (you know when it snows, us dorks up here in the NW are snapping it like a UFO sighting) - Erik Hosa - Tacoma, WA -
  18. Think you could snap a pic or two, or 20? I like the soobie-snow pics. Been acting like spring around here lately - which is nice, but I love the snow... - Erik Hosa - Tacoma, WA -
  19. Nice score man - something, just something tells me I'll probably see you around (sea-tac isn't too far after all) Looks real nice - Erik Hosa - Tacoma, WA -
  20. My god man - that looks like CRAP!.... sheesh!!! (see signature pic to see the humor in my satement) Can't wait to see if finished - Erik Hosa - Tacoma, WA -
  21. Brian - his Sig. says 87 STD - I'm assuming 87 2wd hatchback EA-71 (like Andrews old STD) And keep up the good work, the soobs are great for low-low-budget fun.... unless your me - Erik Hosa - Tacoma, WA -
  22. Nice pic Ken - tried to get a good comparison shot like that before I left but the pit-tents put a damper on that one. - Erik Hosa - Tacoma, WA -
  23. Ok - I have some good (as in 'in-motion' shots) - but they're a bit grainy as they are cropped cause I have crappy zoom - but here ya go: Ken on his fastest run Ed on a quick run Mark kickin stuff up on a quick run - Erik Hosa - Tacoma, WA -
