March 9, 200422 yr Ken and I will be taking a trip to Hood River to talk out the details with the Fairgrounds people. Please speak up with questions you'd like us to present. Any suggestions? Anything you'd like to see happen? ie: stereo competition, beer tasting, etc. . .? On topic stuff appreciated.

March 9, 200422 yr Bugaru and I have found some wonderful trails down here about 1.5 hours from hood river..... we would love to show you all around up in there. We can go in search of closer stuff to the event location, and have a good knowledge of what's around that area too. Since hood river is so close for us, we would be happy to assist in any way we can. On another note - Bugaru and I are planning to go mudding this next weekend - if you guys are comming down anyway - maybe you would like to play too? Maybe we could organize something.... GD
March 9, 200422 yr A Beer tasteing booth would be cool for all the areas brewerys!! Someone should look into that. Especially for us dark beer people. -Sean
March 9, 200422 yr A stereo competition may be cool, BUT if this is at the fairgrounds where the rallycrosses happen there ARE neighbors. Would it fly ok with them? I just wanna see Subaru Styles beat out all the guys with Imprezas The beer tasting would be cool if it was organized, but then the OLCC would be there possibly (and you dont want em there!), so maybe that part is just best left unorganized and a bunch of us just show up with what we want Friday night. (I found a new beer thats $9.50 a bottle
March 9, 200422 yr will someone check to see if there are any power outlet within extension cord length of where the show and shine is???/ i wanna know if I can bring a power suply for my car?

March 10, 200422 yr This isn't really meant to be directed at the fairgrounds folks, but could you see if there's a nearby coin-op carwash? Also, camping availability, showers, etc...

March 10, 200422 yr This is the closest link I could find to the Hood River Fairgrounds. http://www.hoodriver.org/HRCCC_MemberTemplate.asp?MemberINDX=68&CategoryINDX= There is camping available at the fairgrounds. There's certainly a car wash available in nearby Odell (I think). You'll find this a great site.
March 10, 200422 yr how much will camp spots be or even shady trees to park under and sleep in the car?
March 10, 200422 yr Costs and fees will be discussed. I think what Eric was looking for was other ideas for things that can be done at/on the fair grounds.
March 10, 200422 yr rc car ??...!!!! cool i am just now messing with my clodbuster again to get ir running oh yeah i think that would be a good idea too i mean we can use em to shuffle the beer around at the beer tasting
March 10, 200422 yr Author Originally posted by rallyruss are dogs allowed? on leash of course. I think they are. I brought two dogs to a RallyX there and they had no problem. Will bring that up too.

March 11, 200422 yr Is this place like olympia was? Where we had to drive 20min to the nearest mom & pop corner store for the nearest bite to eat? Seems like everything is getting summed up. I might have to get an RC car to join the fun, would probably be alot less messy than the RallyX we had at WCSS3. I assume there are trails nearby? Off-Road fun could include things like Hill Climb comp's, mud drags etc. If there is a nice large mud pit, we could have Tug-o-war competitions in the mud pit -Brian
March 11, 200422 yr Nearest town is Odell about 10 minutes away; Hood River is about 25 minutes. Fairgrounds has a building with real bathrooms and a snack bar possible; not sure if we can arrange that as yet.

Let's hope so. As for food on site, there will be consesions and possible meals available. We'll tell everybody with plenty of notice. If there is not, we'll advise everybody to bring food ahead of time. There are pay-showers and nice bathrooms. Sunday or Monday we'll have a much better idea of how it will go down. We'll promptly drop the old sticky up top and put up an official thread with proper details and stuff. EZ
