November 10, 201114 yr I can't imagine that thing having to much power left with those huge tires. Leave it in Low-range I guess. It should have a fair amount less weight though! Less metal and less glass on the exterior. In the interior, there are no rear seats, no rear seatbelts, shorter headliner, etc. The rear doors would be gutted (hinges, latches, handles, paneling, window mechanisms, etc), and the rear driveshaft and exhaust would both be shortened. It's a bunch of little things, but all of that weight adds up.
November 10, 201114 yr Here is a german modified Leone from nettiauto.com. Forgot to mention - the "hidden" winch in the front bumper is sweet!

Whats funny is that (I think, if I remember correctly) the second row doors still open and function, they just have fixed windows. The winch is something that I would deffinately try and do. It would be sweet to put a little "door" for it so it would be completely hidden behind the bumper.
November 10, 201114 yr Really! The builder must have had some small kids or something. If anything, I suppose you could lengthen the front doors... but I would definitely take out the rears if I was building it for myself. For the winch, I bet you could just give the rollers and internal bumper support a quick spray of black paint, and cut the hole a touch lower to keep the chrome strip across the top of the bumper, and you'd probably never see the winch even without a cover.

November 12, 201114 yr EJ Turbo Brat very nicely done. Please don't tell me someone purposefully put stupid rear camber on that to make it look like a VW...
November 12, 201114 yr I think it's just the pic, He auto-x's it and uses it on track day. Has a full stand alone engine management, it's very nicely done. As far as I know it has the stock rear suspension, the front has been modified with coilovers, and the rear is to come, but he hasn't gotten around to fitting them yet.
