August 14, 201213 yr Its very welcome right here! Ha! I see you have the same rust bubbled on your door as I do on mine.
August 14, 201213 yr Yes, haha. My car actually has a fair amount of rust, but luckily, as far as I can tell, it's only on the body. Haven't seen any rust underneath or anything so far. And as long as if you're not super close to the car, you can't really see the rust. Except on the trunk; that rust is ugly!
August 14, 201213 yr That's such an awesome color.. it is wish my brat's paint looked that good(clear coats gone and the paints fade:mad:but plan on painting it soon)
August 18, 201213 yr More like a moving picture.... Turn your volume down to save your ears https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xOjzoglVG7c&feature=youtube_gdata_player
August 22, 201213 yr I'll be coming into ownership of this one soon. It will be getting a full rotisserie resto - new interior and hopefully I can figure out the Megasquirt on it... I hope to do the original Owner - Username Garner on here - proud...

August 24, 201213 yr Wife just showed this to me from the Subaru Facebook page... Yup. My collection is beat. LOL... just logged on to post the same pic... 86 or 87 by the lack of jump seats.
August 24, 201213 yr Has to be at least 86 because the Leone 3-door Turismo wasn´t available in 85. Any chance to see more pictures of brand-new 80s-Subies in the factory or like that? Edited August 24, 201213 yr by Lukas
August 24, 201213 yr i wonder if this one i tore down is in that shipment because its a 86:confused:and i think the cars could have been in 85 because my 85 brats titled as a 86 thats because it was getting shipped over from japan or it was a the dealer for a while Edited August 24, 201213 yr by turbosubarubrat
August 24, 201213 yr wow:slobber:what u planning on doing with it? i know u said restore but is that repainting it and body parts and calling it good or what Full body resto-mod: Keep the flares and the feel of the build, but tidy everything up. Likely powdercoat all the suspension components. Add a DOM Rollcage in the bed with harness mounts through the cab, maybe a full cage is space allows... Probably an entire interior redo, find some nice OEMish seats or Recaros with full adjustment, and recover in an oem type material.
August 24, 201213 yr Why in the hell is there an EA82T under the hood of that Brat. Why not? The original owner swapped it in. EA82T with Delta Cams, WRX Turbo and Intercooler, Megasquirt, along with a 5 Speed Transmission, XT-6 Suspension, and a few other healthy mods.

September 7, 201213 yr Bonneville salt flats. Kinda a bummer because there was an event going on so I couldn't get to the straights, but I got to have some fun on the salts anyhow. Salt is great for rust by the way (two days later a part of my quarterpanel that was previously pretty rotted was now gone. Got it very thoroughly washed and undercarriage powerwashed after that) I like the last picture because you can see my entry point *and* the diameter of my donuts It was fun. After that we hit the trails into the mountains, but I don't want to clog up the picture thread so when I get home (next week. In Arizona right now) I will write up and include pictures of my whole trip in my members rides thread.
