How many of you will bring off roaders to WCSS this year?

Featured Replies

Pt Townsend is my neck of the woods and I'm thinking about inviting a few Soobies for a short cruise and a little bit of 4X fun in the mud on some fun little trails. . .

Which trails? I haven't been back home to PT in years. Thinking seriously about making the trip especially since there will be a mudpit.

should i make it, im bringin a 2" lift single range loyale wag. what kind of "offroading are we talkin? i wanna hit trails, but id like to not do a field tear down. I guess what im saying is if its "walker rough" I probably should sit out. Not that any of this should in any way affect anyone else.

I had planned on it, I guess I need to start saving for some new tires.

I'll be bringing my wagon, it'll have a 6" lift on it as soon as I get off my lazy a** and go put it on lol

It's possible that the t-cased hatch will be there. Depends on if I feel like driving it with the EA81 that far. Tops out at about 60. :-p

If I can manage to get some money for tires, and then swap my transmission, I will want to do some wheeling... I am hoping to get this all done by the show, so I will have a lifted rig at this years show!

ugh, thanks for reminding me I need to get new transmission mounts, subframe triangle bracket things, possibly lower my driveline (I think thats what causing the ungodly clanking noise), clean up my exhaust, replace a cv boot, and get new tires. I better get started :drunk:

I think there will be a few of us bringing ours..............

The trails on our property were blazed with Subarus in mind. The trails are techincal, but very doable. My mudhole will swallow most Subarus, but don't worry, I have a winch.

The drive from Pt Townsend is pretty too.

We have lots of time, I'm just throwing this out there to get an idea of how many will be at the show in off roaders so I can put something together.

I'm planning to be at the show this year, and I'd love to hit your trails again Zap. Looks like the mud pit should be pretty awesome this year too!

It's a drill weekend for me, I plan on getting my girlfriend to drive the Pinz up and taking my bike and the ferry from base to and from for a quick non AWOL experience.

Save some mud for me

How "well" do you think I'd be able to take on those trails with an AT tire? I've really been trying not to go all out and get a mud tire. I've been looking at the General Grabber AT 2 or similar and hopefully pick up a welded rear diff.

I honestly don't have an answer for that question. I've never met you, I have no idea if you have any kind of driving skills. :o

The trails were made with Subarus in mind. So yes, probably.

Yeah, nothin crazy. Gentle technical fun. REALLY pretty scenery. Uber peaceful when you shut the cars off and listen. Nothin so exciting, but somethign to do for a minute during the afternoon on Saturday. Morning might be better depending on when the show takes place.

I'll be workin' at Fort Flagler this summer.. hopefully they'll let me off so I can play! I'll be bringing my 4"+ lifted obs to what it can do :)
