Looks like they have a couple new ones! Ive had mine for awhile. Saw an outback the other day said my 7th subaru!

When I enter my VIN on the form, it says "VIN Failure"

I wonder how far back it supports. It worked for my 87.

I have an 85 brat, and it said "VIN failure" also!

You could probably invent a vin number based on the vin number chart, and make it match your year, body, engine, driveline, and trim, and add to the remainder serial to make it a 17 digit vin. Likely the software thinks it;'s an incomplete entry. This is just an idea. I am only speculating.

When we bought the new outback they gave us the order form for these, i've had them sitting since last july haha. I'll put them on eventually.

A few thousand more miles and I can add the 200k to my Foz.

 

Not sticking anything like that on my RX.

That's weird, they seem to fail around 85. My car was built 12/84. The VIN is 17 digits, no problem there. 

somehow I get the distinct impression that it won't work on my 78 brat.

So what do I get for having only 64k on an 87 gl(:

I've had mine for about a year, still neatly in the package in my glove box.

My 85 brat didn't work. Haven't tried the 84, yet.

Got some for both my '84 wagon and '85 Brat. It's been a couple of years but I think I had to call them.

You could try calling them and explain the situation.

Guess I will have to call them also, says vin failure on all of my subarus.

I got a set about 2 years back when I bought my SVX (my first Subaru ).  Couldn't bring myself to put something this tacky on such a nice vehicle.  Ended up giving them to a friend of mine for his family hauler (96 Impreza Outback sport wagon).

 

Fast forward and here I am on my 4th Subaru.  Still can't bring myself to get these and put them on, even driving this roached out 88 DL.

A few thousand more miles and I can add the 200k to my Foz.

I still got 43K to go before I can get the 200K badge.  But I will get a big chunk done this summer.
