Just turned around to look at a scene and they were making use of the back if you know what I mean.The movie is called Wisdom!Worth a look.

August 21, 200421 yr Yeah I saw that movie also and the book yeah I read that too and he was claiming to be a geologist/rock hound and I have seen one that was rear ended by Clint Eastwood in Every which way but loose that was a gen 1 woody approx 78 in vintage!

August 23, 200421 yr I think we need to make this into a "Subarus in the movies and on TV" thread, and after a while when the list of movies is about complete, compile a list of movies/tv shows with Subies in them, and stick it in like, the MISC section of the USRM or something. Seems like every coupla months up pops this thread And movies I can think of with soobs: Cannonball Run -- black turbo hatch Big (With Tom Hanks) -- XT6 Say it isn't so -- pimp DL wagon Not a car, but in the MacGyver episdode "The Gun" in the beginning, this kid picks up an EA81 or EA82 wagon wheel (from a stack of 3 or 4) and uses it to bust out a window.

August 23, 200421 yr it's hard not to recognise those wagon wheels trust me heck I was going over to the coast and went by this motorcycle shop that was having a big sale and right in front was a small stack of those with tires on them and I was doing 55mph also

I have it on my computer, and I watched it a while ago.. I had posted about it on the old O/T forum... I remember cuz I was like "Hey, is that a Subaru wheel?" and I rewound it and sure enough... And yes I have a good memory, but it's selective.. I can remember the house we moved out of when I was 4, I remember my first day of kindergarten, hell, I still remember preschool, BUT I can't remember where I set my socket wrench when I'm working on something, and if my mom gives me a list of 5 things to do, and doesn't write them down, I usually remember the last two
August 23, 200421 yr The truman show has an 87-89 GL-10 Turbo 4WD 5SPD w/Digi dash wagon in it...sunroof and roof rack too. early in the movie when the girl and Jim carey are on the beach when they are not supposed to....the thing comes flying over the dunes and comes to take the girl away. I was freakin out when I seen it. With in 5 seconds I had it ID'd as stated above.

They filmed it in Sacramento California in the mid 80's. She's one of the tellers in the first bank robbery. Can't see her face, just the back of her head as she turns and you hear screeming. Bill

August 28, 200421 yr I just watched "Wisdom". (I had to order the movie!) The Gen 2, 78, 4WD wagon gets TONS of exposure! It's like a star in the show. Heck....they even have sex in the back in one scene!! You Gen 1 guys have to see this movie! Oh....the story line kinda ties in with TODAY's troubles in America! Todd
