how many of you actually race?

Featured Replies

just as it says...how many of you race? rally, autox (solo2), tsd, whatever turns your crank...

i myself autox...some of you may have seen my thread where i had my ea82 sedan out for the first time and while abusing my transfer case had allot of good fun

Race in a 4X4 club and can outcorner the jeeps all day:brow: Most of the rigs we (family) go up against are high dollar builds, we drive an 84 hatch and soon 87 dl wagon. Cost to race 55-75 dollars, roll bar 150-300 dollars looks on the faces of the jeeps drivers faces we beat priceless........ for everything else there is a Subaru

I took 2 nd place in the 2002 GreatRace Northeast Old Car Rally. It was great fun and my first race, beginners luck!! :)

I wish I raced...

I do, however, drive like a maniac on the windy, hilly dirt roads around here. It's pretty much the hardest rally course ever. Its got snow, puddles, mud, dirt, asphalt, gravel, trees, hills, you know, the usual...

Lapping days for me in the GTI. It is fun pestering E36 M3s, Corvettes and quite a few others.

i'm slowly getting into tsd... i've done 1 so far... trying to get into more but its kinda hard when you're completely broke...:-p

also trying to volunteer at stage rallies and tsd rallies... once again rather hard when broke...

Oh yeah, forgot about that. Haven't run one in two years, but I do that too. The last one I ran in my RX was the Pine Barrens Express. Came in something like 3rd overall 2nd in class with nothing but a calculator.

Rally-X for me, but not so much since we added kid number 2 (Angelina is 4.5 and Aiden is 9 months!) I still support my brother in law in his efforts with his Eagle Talon.

Road race a vintage/historic Formula Vee (68 Zink Z-5) with a long-term restoration project of a 69 Zink Z-8 sports racer. Will start on a 65 Cortina next off season. Funny thing, I modified (very little) the seating/pedal positions in my 87XT to be very similar to the Vee so its like road racing everyday!

You have a Cortina!?!?!?!?!:headbang:

65 2 door GT LHD - very original except for the 67 1600 cross-flow engine.

I dragrace!

***Runs and cowers in the bushes*** Actually, I like bracket racing. Matter of fact, I'll be racing this Sunday at Englishtown Raceway.

I race on a clay oval. not in a sub yet, they seem too under powered for the class I am in, last year I ran a honda civic this year I am going to run a mustang.

I would, but theres so many bloody rules here in australia. You have to have everything just about built and looked at by mech's and officals. All because of safty and insurance! So, I just have fun on the roads where its most dangerus with my brothers turbo ford...:burnout:
