Why have i just noticed this today???? http://fresno.craigslist.org/car/260294983.html these are all brats?????? None of them look the same!!!!!
February 8, 200719 yr they had longbeds available overseas but that yellow one might look stretchy because of the camera angle and the shape of the topper's window...
February 8, 200719 yr they had longbeds available overseas Woah! Now THAT I did not know:eek: *backwoodsboy begins plot to import longbed brat*
February 8, 200719 yr Woah! Now THAT I did not know:eek: They were 2WD 5 speeds with an extra 1(or was it 2?) ft of bed behind the rear wheels. Really silly looking actually. Isreal was the second largest subaru market in the 80's and early 90's and they were sold as delivery vehicles. GD
February 8, 200719 yr Anybody have a pic of one? GD- I believe you.....but now I just GOTTA see for myself!
February 8, 200719 yr heres the only pic ive ever seen of one. It supposedly from finland. Looks really goofy if you ask me. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/brats/miscphotos/90-finland-longbed1.jpg

A sunroof, Pick-up (real) Subaru ... who could ask for more. I sure wish Subaru would make on today.
February 8, 200719 yr More pics...? I've never heard of the extended Brat. Seems as though you'd flatten the springs if you put any load in the back? Hummm.....

February 8, 200719 yr My ALLTIME favorite style courtesy Sir Zapar _____ Rock and Roll! Thanks Skip, I'm flattered. EZ
February 8, 200719 yr We got here the Long Bed Model Too... Yes, I prefer the Brat "shortbed" myself. Me Too!
February 8, 200719 yr how hard is it exactly to "bob" a brat? what is involved? is it just cut and "paste/weld"?
February 9, 200719 yr Author i've been wondering that myself. i saw a car on here in someone's picture folder that was bobbed front AND back?? I've been planning since day one of being into brats to bob one up, i just figured i'd cut and paste... REAL info would be nice!! haha
February 9, 200719 yr Just a li´l Question: What´s the Meanin´ of "Bob" a Car? It's when you cut some of the bed off of a vehicle, to shorten it. creates less overhang for offroading. Look at Post #10 by Skip. See the white Brat that's shorter than normal? That's it.
February 9, 200719 yr My ALLTIME favorite style courtesy Sir Zapar _____ I'm a big fan of the "stubby" myself!

See the white Brat that's shorter than normal? That's it. The two brats in the pics are the same brat. I bobbed it because the back corner was rusted out really bad. The previous owner had worked at a ski resort where he had hauled salt with the brat. I believe I'll be part of bobbing another brat in a few months. A local here is going to lift, bob, and add a 2.2 mated to a 5spd d/r to his 82. He's gathered most of the ingredients, we just need to get it together. If I'm part of the lifting process, it will be my 14th.
