Put GR2s in all 4 corners of my GL. OH MY spoob it handles and drives so much better. Wow, should have done that 2 years ago when it started to get bad... Now if I fixed the brakes it would feel like a new car... Or I could just get a new car. That poor thing has SERIOUS structural rust.

The past week has seen the creation of body mounts for the Brat.  Sure is nice have the body actually attached to the frame!

Sorry, I meant to comment on this when you posted it...

I love how you did this! They are simple, and pretty much maximum strength/construction. Well done!

I guess its no accident that you chose a chassis with a frame that is a perfect width to match your brat body for aligning the two for such modifications.

- You should post pics that show the overall chassis under that body!  It begs for some creative painting to show off its details; not the usual ugly chassis with a mis-matched body slapped on top of it!  You have quite a creation you are building there - you should show it off on the forum more!

It is a little off dimensional wise, but it was pretty close to where I could mod things to fit.  I did choose that spot because several body welds meet up there, and after some seam welding should be plenty strong enough.

I do show off pretty much everything I do, just over in members rides, where I have a whole post dedicated to it;

Rebuilt the engine from my 1987 from the headgaskets up.  Installed it in my recently bought 1993 Loyale, which has now passed emissions, and is registered.

Put GR2s in all 4 corners of my GL. OH MY spoob it handles and drives so much better.

What part numbers?   Where do they put the ride height?  I have my adjustable OEM ones all cranked to the high setting.

Dunno, got them off rockauto. It's lifted, though so I can't comment on stock ride height.

Dude, I dig the shifter set-up. Where you get it?

Thanks man its a 2015 sti shift knob, the aluminum trim is off an 04 or so sti. The shift boot was custom made by redline goods, all sitting on a kartboy short throw. The drivetrain swap (2004 sti) I purchased off ebay, a much needed upgrade from my tired five speed, with a screaming front diff. Now its ready for some power to be put in front of it.

Cleaned all the tools and parts out of it.

Put battery back in, fired it up.

Backed it out of the garage.

Time to put it back on the road.

It is not what I have to my subie yesterday but for my subie..  Left @ 5:45 from home to Florence Mt. for a tranny.   Met Dan who happens to a very cool easygoing guy. And back in about 18.5 hours.   I would make the trip again but I feel that I must make a weekend out of it next time.

So back on topic.   I picked up a full time 4wd transmission with diff lock for my baby.  Not a dual range, if you know me then you know why the rest of you will have to wait.  :P

Mike

Ive decided to part mine out partly.  I have some pugs and a rear disc brake swap in the for sale section.

I have to figure out what is missing or where the relay is on mine.. It currently has power all the time which works but it isn't right..

Now that I am posting again.  Put my Rad back into the 86 hatchy. Reconnected my heater core hoses since they are not the leaky culprits. ( bad windshield molding.. Silicone to the rescue!).. Off to the parts store for new rad cap oil filter and silicone and some other un-subaru related items.

Sorry I did not get around to / finding this suggestion until now...

I followed your instructions, and where it would be I found no such thing as "Member Title". I found "Ezboard name" and changed it, but apparently that was not it.  There is Gender, Location, Interests, Full Real Name, Occupation, Ezboard name, Referral, Biography, and Vehicles, in that order. No "Member Title".

I don't understand...

Why only me???

I confused!!!

Lol

Got enough crap cleaned out of my garage that I can get my little sedan Ash inside to work on it. Ash spent his first night indoors. Now to sort out the door locks and headlight issues.

Got the headlights in Ash working. Turns out that a relay was bad. But now the cluster backlights and the running lights are out. Ordered some relays. Two steps forward, one step back.

Mounting the switches up top! left some room on the plate for adding more switches later. Had a couple crappy toggles sitting around, will be switching (pun!) to some nice rockers.

Nice - what are you using for the switch box?

It's the junk tray from a gen2 standard (non slant) console. I used a chunk of faux wood window blind slat for the front plate. When I get the rocker switches I want i'll trim it for a better fit.
