I talked with Snowman and we decided to call a meet and greet for all Alaska (and anyone else who wants to show) members. We're thinking of heading out to some local trails and maybe a bonfire/ feed, or just get together for food and beverages at a local establishment. Chime in with what would work best for you and we'll put it together. But hurry, the snow will be flying soon.

Ok, after weeks and weeks of hard work, Noah and I have come up with this handy dandy poll. Let us know what kind of glass/mug you'd like to see. We are planning on etch'd glassware, and it will be $15 or less. It may or may not be personalized, we're working on that. Item one: 17oz. Ale Glass Item 2: 23oz Pilsner Glass Item 3: 15oz Tankard Item 4: 15oz Colonial Tankard Vote away! Pole will be open for 7 days, or when we see fit to close it. There is no guarantee what the end product will be at this point.

  14. We'll be hitting the almighty Pine Barrens a.k.a. Wharton St. Forest starting at the ranger station on Rt. 206 in Atsion,NJ Sandy trails, nothing too crazy.Bring a tow strap just incase.Always smart to have a small shovel and some board or something to get traction on,but it's pretty light duty.We can make it hairy by going faster. Occassional water action. Date? Well, that's up in the air.October __????? Saturdays are best but we'll consider a Sunday run. All I know if that my son and I and maybe the whole family this time, will be camping out, probably in the Batso camping area (state) or right in the Barrens like last time we went. That's rustic out there.B…

  18. Greetings!! Hey for those of you in the Reno/Carson City area..... anyone interested in an impromptu run this weekend? My wife needs some time away from the kids and I was thinking about going for a drive somewhere around the area. I was actually thinking about heading up towards Markleeville and the Barney Riley trail which goes up to a hot springs on the Carson river. I was checking out the run on reno4x4.com (thanks for hint to that site JIBS!) However, not committed to that trail.... I'll be taking my daughter's Geo Tracker out and not my sons Hatch so not looking to get wild and crazy, but more of a "get out and see the.... ahhhhhhh......colors of fall..." t…

Another one of the Korean's crazy ideas, but I'm kind of excited for it, meet at Target by the Colorado Mills mall at midnight and take off at one into the hills for a long drive. Any old schoolers care to join me? http://www.awdpirates.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=15505&start=0 Laura

  24. OBX = Outer Banks of North Carolina. If you've never been there you've been missing the best of the east coast for shoreline. There's nothing else like the OBX.You can drive on many sections of beach. Most locals and hardcores have bumper mounted fishing pole holders and usually a cooler mount too.You pull right up to the surf and toss your lines out,set the poles down, and open the cooler It's a most excellent way of life. Some beaches are permit required but there's many places to just hop off the road and hit the sand. September the rates fall. And for low budget folks like myself, there's plenty of excellent campsites. One KOA comes to mind, right on the water..…
