  1. So, the saying goes, you are safer if you are more visible. So I applied 3M high visiblity reflective tape on my cars, front and rear. ON the front, it is white/silver reflective
  2. ^ no wonder the gas guage broken.
  3. my 94 legacy GT vin 4S3BF6338R7990190 shows dealer record 2/12/2004 miles 451 I just rolled over to 47k the last week..... It came from Depoe Bay OR/ south Beach OR until yr2004 when it came to the midwest
  4. Do NOT use paneling or cardboard for the liner. That will attract and retain moisture, causing BAD rust. Get some do it yourself bedliner, herculiner makes roll-on stuff for 45-65 a can. There are some spray on stuff too, cheap. I like red BRATS, if this was mine i would power wash the black off, and make it right. That is new paint, and it was not done right to flake off in all the jambs, back etc. Still a Brat worth showing off, these are getting more rare every year time passes.
  5. Napa makes parts that "fit" the car but that about it. They don't "work". Get your money back, throw the alternator back on the counter, and go get a junkyard one, OEM of course, By the way, if your battery is old, then that could be the issue overworking the alt. Sorry your old one seized, was it OEM? never charge up a dead battery using the alternator. It is bad bad for the battery and alternator. Charge a dead battery only with a charger.
  6. kinda hate when domain registration is let forgotten.
  7. yeah 3675 lbs but maybe he had extra trans in the back of it. then that wold be 4k
  8. kindA unlucky after i read the deal. apparently he borrowed or rented the trailer for hire, and something on the trailer hitch broke , leaving part of the trailer neck attached to the hitch ball, but separating from he remaining trailer. and all he was hauling the car for was to fix a differential. Now it looks totalled (the car and the trailer). the Toy only had damage to the bumper, tail, and side panel. oh ans that car is over 4k pounds btw
  9. this was over on another site, and i had to post, this has gotta be something to learn from.
  10. you do realize you can get 30mpg on highway withthe 3.54 stock ratio? Not sure what the 4.44 is gonna net for mpg, i wouldnt even want to know.
  11. had to look up to see if the old former CRX Si I sold in 2002 when it had 226k miles on it is still on the road. it appears it has last entry on 4/20/2009 so 7 years after i sold it still going. doesnt list miles but shows last registered in Ft Lupton, CO so if anyone sees a 91 CRX Si teal, that is my old one and it has got to have at leeast 400k on it now found out my 94GT wagon was an oregon car new. this is awesome.
  12. oh, you mean suspension body lift. yes that too.
  13. that van should be archived by mods into something so it is always there.

  18. i also have a good running ea81 complete with carb sitting on my shelf. Was told it ran good, that person is on this board and nasioc board as well. So, if you want it, let me know, it still has the carb, coil, dizzy, and belts on this. lets say 450 obo. i have the brat it came out of, shows 156k on the odo. If you want to talk to the person who said it ran, i am sure that can be arranged.
  19. never seen a cam break, i wanna see the pic of what you have been told.
  20. Have you ever tried AM tuning on the new stuff? It is crap. end Have you tried AM on the old Subaru transistor? Awesome reception. I do like my AM radio for listening to NCAA sports games. so meh on the new stuff. The old rotary dial allowed fine tuning not capable on a digital tuner. My dad may in fact, install a old BRAT radio, in his Forester, so he can get AM......so there
  21. hold on, i found a "72"
  22. looking but not finding much...... maybe a "1" this came in the back of my ratty 84 BRAT ej mess. If you have broken a cam, then yeah you need help in from of a entire engine. Now a pic is out there

  24. my local rebuilder place has a theft recover 2004 outback H6 automatic wagon, silver, with 24k miles. it has a clean title, they are asking 10k but, you know what, that is a deal of a deal. It has a few dents in the front fenders, silver, leather interior, loaded, again clean title previous theft recover. that h6 and mileage, hard to beat. I saw the car.
