  1. Check the hose that runs underneath your alternator.
  2. You are correct. I bought fel-pros for my BRAT and they were $8.99.
  3. Gurgling behind the dash is a big sign that you have an air bubble in your system. Did you jack the front of the car up when you were purging the system of air?
  4. Good to hear, keep that thing on the road. How bad of a leak was it?
  5. Craigslist would be the best way to sell your wagon. I sold two vehicles on there myself, and they sold very quickly. Here is my suggestion to replace your outback: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-Trucks___2005-Subaru-Impreza-WRX-TURBO_W0QQitemZ120357861512QQddnZCarsQ20Q26Q20TrucksQQddiZ2282QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item120357861512&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=72%3A727|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318
  6. Good job man. I bet that thing will really scoot.
  7. Yeah I think the radiator cap and cooling system burp will be the best way to start going about diagnosing your problem. I thought I had some head gasket problems because my BRAT was getting warm, not hot going down the road and losing heat out the vents. Turned out to be a 5 dollar radiator cap.
  8. I think Monstaru did the 3rd eye mod to his 83+ BRAT. But, don't hold me to it.
  9. 82 "third eye" passing light. Looks to have a vacuum hose at the bottom to me.
  10. If a thermostat is not present, wouldn't that point to a previous cooling/over-heating condition?
  11. Yeah, I would have rescued it too. So what was ultimately wrong with it?
  12. Be prepared for them to tear you a new one if you post anything over there.
  13. Remove the old bulbs once you get the cluster removed and take them to autozone or radio shack and have them find the bulb for you. What I did when I replaced all the bulbs in my BRAT.
  14. These are WRX 16's with stock REO70's on my 91 Legacy. Zero issues with rubbing and made it handle a lot better too.
  15. Thanks man. Luckily I don't owe anything on it. I sold my two BRATs, Hatchback, and a 97 Tacoma so that I could pay cash for it and still have funds left over. I do need to get a set of rotors for it as mine are warped like crazy.
  16. It is located right under where the coil would go. It should have a gray cover of it red and green wrote on the top of it. If you pull the cover off, you will have three wires inside of it. Those are your fusible links.
  17. First attempt should be finding the under dash connectors. I thought the EA81 cluster was as much fun as a root canal to pull and replace. If you do have to go this route, replace the cluster bulbs that are burned out if any.
  18. Stock motor 99,927 miles. , AEM intake that came on the car, whiteline rear sway bar, and a 5ziegen exhaust that will be traded out for my STi catback when I get time/money. 99,927 miles. I drive it 90 miles a day to business school so I can't afford to have any down time, and risk breaking things with it swapped.
  19. Connie, will you be weber swapping the new motor as well?
