Under fender rust repair 81 BRAT
I’m just curious if you’re going to keep it nice n stock - original , or if at this time you’d have considered a swap to the quad light front ? At this point move forward , I’m sure. It’s just such an opportunity right now that knuckleheads like me feel they have to ask.

Quiz Time
Check for factory service manuals online ? Wiring diagram might help. I recall some service manual which showed a breakdown of each plug with pins , it’s function , etc.

Rear wheel brake cylinders
Does anyone have or know of factory Parts Manuals online ? That would surely show if there are two different cylinders. 99% of me says they are the same from like 1977 through 1994 Loyale. But check the 1% for kicks.

moosens replied to LeolaPA's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI have “131” , sorry. This is an older part number and may have superseded. Mine is 12003AA131 Still has its part tag and the order tag with my name on it from the dealer. It has one tube at the top. Tried to add a pic but no go.

Nothing is best if you can achieve. The infamous O ring for the EA82 Mickey Mouse was always one of those.

1992 Legacy MT speedometer issue
moosens replied to heymulderitsme's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXHad a live lizard escape while my son was inspecting it when old dad told him not to do that. LOL So has to pull the dash on our 92 Legacy. It was easy enough , caught the lizard , and then learned about how the speedo cable can not quite fit back until all in place and then needed that extra push.

Gas Filler neck tube advice
moosens replied to LeolaPA's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXThere are still new ones available. It’s a common problem. Most cars in the northeast 95-99 especially , will get rusted out at the bend where sand collects on top. And that plastic cover works against you if you don’t spray under it often. Too late now. There’s a new one hanging in my storage. If you can’t find one send me a PM here. Not really anxious to let mine go yet.

Press in and then check. Dashboards and clusters can be removed but you might be able to avoid that.

No paint chip leaflets on eBay to review ? I know I see them randomly. Maybe Mick’s web pages of brochures has them. Search “Indy’s World” I think is what he has them under.

Just First Generation Subaru Photos!
The 360 series here in the USA and I guess several markets. It failed here so they quickly supplied a boxer engined , slightly larger and totally awesome ff-1 series , given other names in various markets. Star as they were called. That lasted just a few years before the “Leone” series which was here in the USA around 1972. There are overlaps if each series into the others. 1972-77 Stage One is part one of the First Generation as we refer to them. 1977 Stage two through 1979 cars would be part two of the first gen. Brat is the same generation through 1981. Next model cars begin 1980 Next model Brat begins 1982 usa

Odometer
In this case I don’t see an under hundred K interior in any of the pictures. Indicators I type about often would be the Caution decal on the drivers door among others. But I can see the first red Brat you have in the building is the sweetie. Maybe it is original mileage and just a bit more weathered. But no worries. There’s a good amount of used parts showing up lately. I just sold an uncracked dashboard. Others have posted (boasted) of theirs so you have a shot at one. Or there’s covers. Have fun and enjoy the process.
