  1. Yeah...I am still waiting for a 95 Legacy with really really low miles to come along...10 year old car...but if it has 50,000 miles on it...it hasn't even been broken in
  2. The gaskets are only like $30...at least on 1stSubaruParts.com
  3. I've only seen one Brat in this area...its a blue one with a cap on it. I've seen it in Slippery Rock, Butler, Evans City, and Cranberry Twp. It is good to know there is more than one in Western PA!
  4. Alot people are working class folks...and they cannot straight up BUY a new car...if even pay for one financed...that is why the used car market is so big I'd say BUY it (fianance it) but just don't LEASE it.
  5. Well, it was my fault it died. I put an open air intake on it, and it sucked a lot of dust in, so I was cleaning the MAF with alcohol and a Q-TIP and it ran like crap and gas mileage was like 12 MPG.
  6. Possibly a lemon? Check with some lemon law attoneys...you might be able to sue and get your money back for the car.
  7. Mass Air Flow sensor? It wasn't just the first ones...it is in all. It is what connects to the box the holds the air filter. I got one on eBay for $10, and one at a junkyard for $80. It really killed my gas mileage when mine died. A used one would work fine, if you can find one at a good price. Mine came off a older EJ22 Legacy...so they outta all be about the same. MAF are up until 1999. 2000+ used MAP. Check out http://www.cobbtuning.com/tech/airflow/
  8. Nothing...I wouldnt expect an automatic to be fast or try and upgrade its performance. http://cobbtuning.com/wrx/ Check them out...they have some neat stuff.
  9. If I wanted an automatic vehicle i'd buy a Cadilac or Lincoln...not a turbocharged Subaru If you want to improve gas mileage change the plugs and filters when they need it. Do not put on a cold air intake or something...that will kill your fuel economy. If you want performace...you already have a sucky off the line time due to the auto tranny...and a cold air intake would make it even worse. I'd get a better turbo or new engine components.
  10. It cost about $800 for a new clutch in my 95 Legacy. This was at a local shop. The dealer price might be more...but don't quote me on that.
  11. 1. They ABS systems brakes many times per second to prevent tire lock up. They are supposed to vibrate and shake a little bit. Pull the wheel off and check the roter...if it is real bad I am sure its something...but it will always have some shaking and whatnot because of the ABS. 2. Uneven tirewear, and it might need aligned and balanced. 4. Look at a junkyard for a car that was hit in the rear (front end will still be good) https://www.1stsubaruparts.com has the hood for about $250 + shipping. The dealer can get it...but you'll be paying a lot more.
  12. Autotrader would probably give best results...that is where I looked for cars when I bought my Outback. How much do they charge, anyways?
  13. Ditto on that. Don't waste money on fancy junk like air filters and whatnot...the K&N once might say you'll get more power...but it'll kill your lower RPM power. Just change the oil and filters regularly...and it'll last a long time.
  14. Did you get new head gaskets when they put that stuff on? If so, that is a good deal.
  15. So it was the switch on the top of the steering wheel? It happens to a lot of people...all the time.
  16. Even when the car is all the way off the taillights and parking lights are still on?
  17. Did you happen to bump the switch on top of the steering wheel? (That wouldn't turn on the tail lights...would it?) Keep your headlights on all the time...they go out when the cars off.
  18. The gauge will be off. When at 'E' you will still have like 5 gallons. If the light does work, it will come on when you have around 2 gallons.
  19. The Automatic will shift when you hit a certain RPM range and not let you steadly drive at 4500 RPMS. It makes sence...I dunno. It might be a mistake.
