  1. check your body: you have a wagon wagons have the handle in the headliner there are two different types of handles you may want to check a sedan
  2. GRAB HANDLES: xt, xt6, omega, rx, 3dr all use the same handles they also should have the nuts welded in , equipped for installation of optional features all you have to do is pull down the plastic trim, turn it over, and there should be the marks for where to drill new holes done it to my rx, grabbed the handle from the xt6
  3. E missions C ontrol S ystem engine check stupid :-p
  4. yes, chech your grounds

BALONEY! they should idle just fine, but there is a "dead spot" just off idle, with a corresponding loss of torque, after that, the sky's the limit as far as high rpm low speed driving, 5k @35, or whatever, circle track corn field racing against a crappy buick century that eventually burnt up quite well
  10. don't worry, the'll still run when wired backwards and the noise choke, one end goes to coil +, the other to engine ground
  11. did you change the other fuel filter, by the fuel pump?? the idle adjust screw is long, in about the middle of the air box, underneath it
  12. I would like some info on the strange little novelty, since I know of only the xt6 having them in the US, I want! do they have a separate reservoir or pump for the fluid? how are they plumbed?? and most important: how well do they work to blast off mud and ice??? got pics?
  13. "fan wouldn't come off without damaging the radiator in some way" why is that so? all you would of had to do was remove the 4 nuts on the waterpump pulley, remove the 4 bolts on the fan shroud, if equipped, and pull up
  14. when in doubt, yank it out the white thing is a fuel filter, it would be good to add it to the supply line to the carb under the air box the blue thing looks like some kind of vac. controlled vent device all a carb engine needs to run is a line for the choke, and then add a line for the vac. brakes, climate control, timing advance I have made write-ups of emissions removal and they seem to run better afterwards. headlight squiters!!
  15. "speed hump" for larger hampster wheel
  16. it's full time 4wd, with center diff lock, or part time 4wd and let's try to keep our numbers straight, 1.196 -- (20/22 x 25/19) 1.592 -- (23/14 x 25/19) can the 20/22 gear set be swapped for the 23/14 gear set to give the better low?
  17. run wire from bat+ term on alt to battery + run wire from alt case screw to battery - run wire from battery + to terminal of fuse link box check fusible links, IIRC a green one haldles the charge check 15a fuse, should have low voltage when NOT running
  18. here's what you can do: replace sparkplugs with NGK BPR6EY-11 OR BPR6ES-11 v-power or regular replace plug wires with NGK or BOSCH remove EGR valve, remove ASV, and block off run vac. line from vac. advance unit to intake manifold port near head remove emissions canister, one line is left open, one line is blocked, and I forgot the rest you should be able to run 89 octane
  19. there may be foreign material blocking the flow of exhaust gasses in the turbo housing
  20. found: set of 3 brake pads, NIB change tools subaru tool kits 2 metal saucer sleds coat -- wore it out underware,
  21. the way to diagnose subarus is KISS start removing, disconnecting, blocking off, reverse engineering, etc. until it runs like you want it to I am guessing the c/w is the problem, either put on a weber -- holley, or a ea82 hitachi with matching intake manifold -- my personal favorite, and do away with the ecm
