  1. GOD I hate it when people talk that way about Bi-drive Recreational All-terrain Travels. . . Lower a honda, street an RX, OFFROAD a BRAT!!! But seriously. It is a nice Brat, but by no means the nicest ever. The silver one he took to the Rubicon was in better condition than this one. (except the one dent the silver one had that the dent guy said he'd fix for 3 bills) It's called gotta sell one to keep this one, see selling my turbo wagon or hatchback. And. . . it was bought for a reasonable price for its condition and location. I thnk this one would have gone for about 2 times as much on the Other Coast. Stu's was about comparable to this one. Seen it in person I have. http://usmb.net/gallery/zapar/kensnewone
  2. I'm penciling you in for the xmas tree run. Wanna see those in person. A 215/75 should be about a 29 or so? Wagon's gonna look tough. As for redrilling the hubs. . . Ken runs the rear discs and redrilled his hubs. I'd say it's somewhat sturdy, we took it thru the Rubicon and then drove it 1000 miles to Eugene. No problems. Maybe shoot him an email or give him a call. I say that redrilling the rims would indeed screw with their good looks, 25 bucks or 125 bucks. Extra holes look kinda goofy in my book. (no offense to folks running that set up.) EZ
  3. Thanks PK, we were worried. Glad to know you and your's are OK. Stay safe my friend.
  4. Hard to tell, but are those BFG MT's? Gonna look sharp, you'll love the off set of the wheels.
  5. I've got a buddy in Hawaii with a lifted hatch. . . Wonder what he knows?
  6. I wonder if 15 inch wheels are as available? Cuz I tell ya, you get some of those here, and I'll buy 5 from you. Wanna Swamper a set for the hatch. Those Coopers just aren't cutting it. Car has to work way too hard in the mud.
  7. After swampage, the carpet is memory. You can probably get away with cutting it at the bottom of the console so you can still have it look like you have carpet. Get a couple of big rubber truck matts for the floor. They'll cover most of it, and kill road noise really well. That's at least the cheap way to go, 20 bucks or so. I've done it that way in all of my offroaders. Bedliner if you have the money, gonna be the best solution. My neighbor across teh street has his entire jeep floor bedliner'd looks sweet. Good luck Eric
  8. I've personally been on a hunt for wheels like that in the US for a reasonable price for about 5 years. No luck, no love. Got mine on a lucky find from someone who had them shipped from AU.
  9. I happen to love the offset. Also love flinging rocks and mud and such.
  10. You could always try the old way of comunication. 541-729-8490
  11. Those fender liners are a good thing. They keep mud and such out of your door hinges. . . Put those suckers back on, you'll thank me later. . . Self tapping screws are good for holding them in place
  12. That is on e COOL rump roast design!! Aweful spendy though. Try Speedy Wheel, they also make 4 on 140s for our old Subarus down in AU. As for white or black. . . Mine always end up brown. LOL http://community.webshots.com/photo/37919799/93020984ORimjo I won't even tell you what I paid, you guys would wanna kill me. Let's just say I got all 5 for less than the price of one, minus the shipping. . .
  13. Anybody and everybody. You know where I live right? Galen and I have met before. . .
  14. Maroon Doom. Take a look under your car. Soobme. I am this >l l< close to getting rid of the lsd set up and welding. Off road, the welded diffs rule, hands down. I do a LOT of city driving with my hatch, it's my daily driver. That's all that's slowed me from changing over. That and I'm too lazy to change the axle in and out all the time. I never can tell just when I want 4X, and I usually don't have 10 minutes to get it in. There's a big rockery in my buddy's yard, he lets me park on it when I go there. Would suck to have to install my axle every time I wanna play on it.
  15. Those are some lame photos. Sorry. I took a bunch of teh Sept rallyx, way better action shots. Cars lifting a rear wheel and stuff. I have Ed, Ken, Mark, Sean, and myself on tape doing a whole lap or more. Some of it will make it onto Part 5 when it's done.
  16. I can't be there, but. . . You've got the basic idea how to go about bobbing it right? Cut the tail lights off first. Very important. The line you choose for cutting off the rest should be a couple of inches past the gas tank. Call me for any more that I can help you with. Jason has my #. Zap
  17. Here's your flame Bill. IT IS A BAD IDEA TO DRIVE YOUR 4WD SUBARU ON THE DRY PAVEMENT WHILE THE 4WD IS ENGAGED!! You're not even supposed to run different sized tires on the car. It's bad on tires, axles, and tranny. Binding is a bad thing. But I encourage you to go on with your ignorant bliss. Just please don't challenge the board to attack you for giving out bad advice or info. Cuz we will.
  18. John's been running that configuration since before PK was making the American version of the BYB kit. I wheeled with him when he finished his first kit, he was still sporting 13s on the "Beast" then. Probably about the year 2k. That same weekend, Mike W was trying out the first BYB kit to make it to America. Both were amazing after a couple of years of wheeling Soobs with no lift. The group photo of us up at Evans sits proudly in my photo album. Good for you Rick. Get some tires on it now, get some practice in after that, then get up here and wheel with us at Evans Creek.
  19. Yeah, I saw your photos. There's no Walmarts close to my house, so I don't get to check them. The water demon works!! Just need to paint the green "lift blocks". lol I actually mixed up a paint color to match my hatch, it's more tan than yellow in actual light. I have my good ones put away, but I have a bunch of custom ones I'm not so worried about preserving as much. I dig painting them to match Hatch Patrol's rigs and giving them as gifts. Ask around. I snagged one of the bigger green brats out of the custom set a couple of days ago with the buy it now about 10 minutes after it got on line. :b
  20. Sweet, we'll be needing it.

  22. I have older stuff that's prepped for distribution. Parts, 1,2,3, best of 1-3, 4, and Subarubicon. 5 is a ways out there. (Pretty hard-core stuff, 99% Subaru. No less than 30 Soobs make appearances, not just footage of the same car in the same mudhole out back. We play on every kind of terrain you can think of 'xcept sand so far.) chairotsu@earthlink.net
