  1. We'll be headed out bright and early for a day's worth of 4 wheeling on the penninsula. My Father has property in Chimacum, 'bout 20 minutes South of Port Townsend. 20 minute's drive from the ferry. We leave my house at 8 a.m. for the Edmonds Kingston ferry. We plan to come back tomorrow/Saturday evening to keep V-day obligations with our respective better halves. If you feel like joining us, gimme an email or a call if you all ready have my # chairotsu@earthlink.net Zap
  2. That's the one that's been for sale for a while now. Every few weeks the owner comes back and tries it again.
  3. Definitely a beauty John, we out-did ourselves bigtime. (toot toot) It was a big step doing this to an 04 Baha T! They cool thing is, it all just bolts right on!!!! No mangling anything to get it to fit. Jut take off the bumper and its skin, add this bumper to the existing mounts. Should you need to pick up the inlaws at the airport, the old bumper and skin will bolt right back on in under an hour. The airbag sensors remains intact, untouched, unmoved. (I'm taking a stab to guess that you also managed to use the existing wiring for the fog lights. Plug and play baby.) The finished version is really gonna blow some minds, not to let on what will coat it. Remember, this is just the p r o t o t y p e.
  4. Ummm. . . John bent it and welded it, but there were 5 of us putting in ideas and stuff. It took at least 3 sets of eyes to get it all straight and stuff. John's buddy Mike deserves a big "You go Boy" for his badass mounting brackets. Mike also did most of the work keeping the angles right on the bends. Randy did his fair share too. Pinch hitting for the late baby sitter. It was Sean's idea to fill in the back of the bumper with the perferated steel. When he brought it up, we knew it was a killer idea. Sean also had the idea with the lights so as to hide a big gap between the head light and the grill. My big idea was to put the upper bar in front of the lower one by an inch or so. Very sexy! The skid plate was a colaberation as well. Extra special thanks to Paul Eklund for waking up fairly early Sunday morning to supply the spur of the moment "Primitive Racing" skid plate.
  5. Trip to Moxee motors is definitely in order soon! We should make it a day trip on one of the next few weekends. I gotta see your stuff in person Jerry, it's been a while.
  6. http://usmb.net/gallery/BahaBumper Fun with gaining approach angle on a '04 Turbo Baha. And yes, I had a chance to drive it, ALL of your ea82ts would fall, it friggin' SCREAMS!!!! I hunted down a WRX and whipped him 3 times. WOW! Need one!!
  7. Here's photos of the prototyping of the bumper done this last weekend. Finished up, it will really look sharp. Tomorrow they will tie in the skid plate. http://usmb.net/gallery/BahaBumper Delivered as promised John. :-p
  8. I'm betting the dealer wouldn't have a clue what you even meant by asking about raising the front suspension. If you walked around the place and took a poll, 9 out of ten people there would answer with a blank look. 21 mm is the one. A 19 will raise the rear.
  9. A small group of us actually plan to go to the cabin next weekend. I'll have my welded diff in finally, want to test it out. Mike, you're welcome to join us if you like. As for a long term thing, I had planned on trying to set up another HP Meet (not a show!! ) as oon as we can set a date for the WCSS6 (is a show ) Planning for an HP Meet is pretty cut and dry. 1. Here's the place 2. this is the time 3. disclaimer (you'll get muddy) 4. see you there. I really like EC for the Hp Meet Venue. It's hard to beat it.
  10. If we plan one. . . will you swear to make it, no excuses. . ? I'm all for a separate function for just the offroaders in the hills somewhere. We'll make a weekend of it. The Dungeness area sounds like my favorite of the bunch, it's close to the cabin. Those 21 and up can camp there, probably as many as 20 people would be welcome.
  11. I put a Sabb's TURBO emblem above the 4WD emblem on the back of one of my hatches. Didn't even have a turbo. Raised a lot of eyebrows though. People thought it looked pretty cool. I only felt bad cuz I used a Saab emblem on my Subaru. I have a Hatch Patrol Sticker on the back of my Impreza, it doesn't have a lift kit or big tires.
  12. Aaron's Auto Wrecking usually has one of the VLSDs sitting around. But, you'll think a hundred bucks for a 3.7 lsd is cheap comparitively. Tom also sells them on ebay, know what they're worth.
  13. If it's broken, it's not gonna make much noise. I can show you where it's at if you want Caleb. Shoot me a call after your work. We can use the one in the blue hatch for now.
  14. Shean, you have mail.
  15. http://usmb.net/gallery/Zapar-Rubicon?page=2 DVD soon!
  16. Thanks Ken, I don't know who deleted my thread. Editted by Qman
  17. My first ea82 came from New York. All the paper work from its entire life was included, pretty big book. Sold in New York, made its way to Salt Lake City, and then to Seattle where I drove it for year then sold it with 234k. Saw it this year, the owner (guy I sold it to) said it was up to 285k and still running strong.
  18. Bow Wow Auto Parts in Lake City has been a good source for the Weber 32/36. Ask for Dave, tell him you're building one of those Subarus. As for a dual carb set up, good luck going out and finding one.
  19. 628 Mill Street Or Just off of MLK between 6th and 7th, near the Hawthorne Bridge.
  20. Don't worry, I've got the sweet solution to how you guys can still compete and have a great time in Open class. Ask me or Ed personally, It's an awesome idea. A little non-violent protest.
  21. I'll be driving my hatch. But even if I am riding with someone, I'll ride with my buddy Brian in his landcruiser.
  22. I've known him since highschool. (early 80s) He was a gear head then. He usually only works on new cars cuz that's all that come his way. He'll work on your older car if you bring it to him. He built the fastest ea82t that I've ever driven. Quicker than a WRX in the quarter mile. He know Subarus. Came up with a way to turbo my weber even. . . 503-309-8645
