Suday off-roading trip - damage pictures!
Ken chose to go around it, I wanted the photo. The rear tire slipped off to one side as I drove off of it. I was using as much finnesse as I could with an open diff. You can bet that by that time, Ken and I were already using finnesse as well as we could, we had Suby Beast to preach it to then. But the picture wasn't to point that out, it was to show the jagged edge of the rock so you could picture the dent in my tank. And yes there was a time when I was first learning. Way before I had that hatch. (and yeah, what Rob said. )

That would be "shark fin". I found the photo. Got the dent on the way off of it. Before the HP new the Rubicon, it knew Walker Vallley.

Suday off-roading trip - damage pictures!
Only a few of us remember back to when I put a huge dent in my first hatch while going thru Walker Valley. The rock was good and sharp, but the tank didn't spring any leaks. The dent was big enough that it literally held a gallon less when I filled it after that. That hatch was un lifted though. Since then, I apply the finnesse approach. A little getting out and checking the right line is always recommended when in a situation that might bash your lifted Soobs gas tank. Heck, the Rubicon didn't even manage to put a dent in any of the three Soobs who went there.

AAAAAAH!!! Car break in!
Yeah, you guys in New Jersey have better crimes to commit, like murder. LOL That's how I got into Soobs in the first place. A few rides in stolen ones about 20 years ago. Little gen one wagons. Got me into 4 wheeling too. Sorry to hear that Matt. Now I don't feel so bad finding that someone hit my hatch with an egg night before last. . .

BIG props!
Adam kicks rump roast. Why do you think I keep trying to get him to move closer to Seattle?

Where would this go??? Beer tasting at WCSS6
Not in August. Corky's right, this isn't about getting drunk, just about tasting beer. About being social and getting to know eachother. We're gonna have some pretty strict gruidelines to keep people from drinking and driving afterwards. May take keys in exchange for entry, may just remind everyone the Sherrif is sitting across the street. And he WILL be.

It will be a cold day in Hell (can I say that?) when I drink a micro brew from a dixie cup. Hmm mm. Are we gonna drink cool ade or beer? I like the pot luck idea. There will be a beer garden during the day that will move inside during the evening.

You'd be the guy with the little yellow gen one? Anything recent done to improve it? How's it coming along? It looked cool sitting in my yard for a week.

Mudrat79 Cars
I've been good friends with Mudrat for going on 4 years now. You'd be in good hands if you trust him to build a car for you. (or whatever else you put in front of him.) He doesn't just build Soobs, he 4X's them as extremely as they've EVER been 4X'd. (see photo below) It will take a minute, he's busy with family and many projects and a bit of a procrastinator, but that's what pestering is for. Email is a bad way to try to get a hold of him, always has been. Just call him.

difficulty of lift installation
Make sure to attach the strut to the strut block before putting it on the car. He's very right about needing to beat on that spot on your tower. Also. If you do get your steering wheel wrong, it's pretty easy to pull it off and re-align it.

WRX Eat your Heart out!
You really do have to come over and get a look at my hatch. It will motivate you to do the same to your wagon. Ads for getting it muddy, here's what you'd be in for if you follow us to the hills. (you could always go around, but Austin is no woos.)

Sooner or later, it would have to happen.
Exactly as you describe. My q is what to do with the switch. Whis is a 2 prong one btw. I also have a 3 prong one, but it just won't fit where I wanna put it. Figure'd I'd use the relay instead. And thanks big time for all the diagrams.

difficulty of lift installation
With a 3 inch lift, there should be no problem with the shifter or linkage.

I need help with my Soob. Simple, but I'm not sure. I wired up some lights. I chose to use a relay. The relay goes to 1. power 2. ground 3. lights 4. switch All good. My problem is with the switch. One wire comes from the relay, the other goes where? To ground or back to power? What makes me confused is that the relay gets power. . . (sorry if this isn't completely Soob related, but I don't know a site to go to to ask how to)

difficulty of lift installation
Weird. The last several I've done I started on the front to get the hard part out of the way. . . The back is usually pretty cut and dry. Definitely undo the tension on your torsion bar and unadjust your front struts down before hand.
