  1. And especially a newer gen Soob. Getting them to join us has been like pullng teeth. Think I may just organize this for you Brian.
  2. ezapar replied to jrgaylor's topic in Off Road
Lifts can't be that illegal here in WA, Les Schwabb sells and installs lift kits for trucks. Your friend in Tenino is in good company. There are quite a few lifted Soobs in Wa and OR.
  3. Can and will back up everything he claims. Is slow needs reminding will eventually follow through every time. This from me on the West Coast, he on the East. We've done severaly trades and buy/sells.
  4. hehe, didn't see this till this a.m. Good to see you and your pretty brat yesterday. (sometimes I can understand why someone wouldn't wann offroad their brat.)
  5. We can have everybody over to my house. Most local folks know how to get here. Some group photos of a diverse group of cars would be cool. There's a few big parking lots near here that can be used to take the photos. We took a couple pretty cool shots of three different lifted rigs together yesterday. Had a wagon, hatch, and a brat in the photos. As for how to get your digiphotos onto a calendar. . . Can't you just save them all to a cdrom? I could do it for you. Gimme a call Brian. This makes me wanna make a photo dvd. I have literally hundreds of photos.
  6. I helped change one out on an STI that was getting all new exaust this Summer. It was just as hard to pull out as the older ones. They put them in good.
  7. I've used my angle tool to check the angles of us in photos. Have seen over 40 degrees, both side ways and forward/backward.
  8. If you use one that I took, dan I have a copy of the calendar? Two fo the ones Jared picked out I took. I think they're good shots. Go ahead and use them if you want Brian texonrocks and uprock are the ones I'm talking about. Cool choices btw Jared.
  9. There's stuff at the autoparts store called "Bug and Tar". Good stuff, I used to used it to wash off the white roofin truck I drove for a year.
  10. Mick has a page of toys available Here's non- stomper stuff http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/brats/toys/toys.html Here's the Stompers http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/brats/toys/stompers/stompers.html I have a few diecast hotwheel size wrx's and even a legacy wagon, but no ea81 wagons. I have a bunch of 1/18th scale diecast Imprezas and WRXs rally and non. I was eyeing one of my hatchback stompers, wondering if I could customize it to make it look like a wagon. . . we'll see what I can come up with.
  11. I like the once a year show. This year's was a fun shindig, would like a repeat. But pizza meets and carting aren't so important to me. There are more diverse groups than there were when we had troubles before. Now there are the WRXclubs who separate themselves from the GCers who don't have a lot in common with the outback and forester types who don't have anything in common with the older 70-80s gen. (Who are separated by ea81 and 82 types, split into on and offroaders) Would be cool to get more of the new types to do more camping and offroading like the Hatch Patrol does. Outdoorsy stuff. Even if they only wanna leave their cars at the parking lot, there's always empty seats for passengers. To do is to become a believer. I think that if you can afford 25k for a car that you're gonna spend 1-5k modding, you'd be able to find 1500 bucks to completely build an older one. It was a really happy occasion to see a Forester join us at the last campout at Evans Creek. We were ecstatic. A good way to get folks to get to know eachother or become more diversafied would be to refer pnwsec to the usmb rather than an impreza-only board. Maybe drop the "P" and make the club more general. This year's RallyX season has attracted a lot of us USMBers, we probably number 30 in cars that show. You know as well as anybody how Subaru dominated the Rally events are, by numbers, not necessarily ranking. If we only meet to park the cars once a year, that's cool. You seem to have a great handle on how to throw a good party and get a whole bunch of folks to show up. ************* $.02, also lke Roy's ideas.

  13. You know where I live Brian, come on by and grab a copy, I still have a few. Snowman, chairotsu@earthlink.net to talk about how to get you a copy. Zap side note***** I got the dvd burner to work!! Managed to burn some footage onto a dvd that plays on my home dvd player!! Another week's worth of editing, should have it somewhere near done.
  14. Cool enough. John has my #.
  15. hehe, I'll buy that. I didn't see the "in the snow" part.
  16. Wondering the same... wtf would you be driving around on dry pavement in 4X for? Also. What the Hell are you guys doing driving around at 75 in 4X for? Save the 4X for when it's necessary.
  17. You've come a long way. Used to be the same story, 'xcept you would be bragging about a jeep. lol cool. 2 full weeks till I can drive. . . :boohoo: :boohoo: :boohoo:
  18. Buy Ken's pretty wagon. I'll drive it back East if you'll meet me in the US, pay gas, and buy me a ticket back to Seattle. Oh yeah, you'd have to wait a month. LOL
  19. I've been to Wyoming, stayed in Star Valley for a weekend. That was the emptiest place I've ever been to. The Bonneville Salt Flats are more exciting than Wyonming. I know I'll never go there again if I have it my way. Did you know it's the coldest State in the Continental US? WCSS5 had at least one car from as far away as Indiana. 100 cars in all. . . or so.
  20. My hatch has had a bad boot since I got the car months and months ago. I just keep adding grease. I've driven it to Portland 2 times, (300 mile rt) RallyX'd it, taken it thru Evans Creek, been to Retiers Pit 2 times, once to muddy Black Diamond, and drive it as a daily driver. I've had to replace the one on the other side 3 times cuz they keep going out. The old one now has a Duct tape boot on it. The make shift boot has lasted for weeks, the grease stays in the cup just fine. I'm not changing it till it makes lots of noise.
  21. LSD or VLSD?? I had a VLSD that would do that sometimes. Other times it would make the other wheel turn the same direction.
  22. Ken, you know that psychic thing we have some times? Well, I knew there would be a post saying SNOW!!! when I logged on. It's snowing hre in NS, although not sticking, so I KNOW there's snow in your area. Wanna know how sad I am that I can't take my girl up to Snoqualmie to play in the snow and laugh at all the scared REI types trying out their jeeps and isuzus in a few inches of white? ? ? At least 2 weeks till Ican drive. Here's something to make you feel better Caleb. "I once cried because I had no shoes, then I met a man with no feet." EZ
  23. Cool enough. Licensing and emmissions are both just up the street from me. We can talk about it when John comes up. He's gonna stay the night when he gets here. You guys can call my garage a meeting spot if you need. Happy to know another lifted Soob is making its way into the Seattle area. More the merrier. Are you gonna offroad it or what? chairotsu@earthlink.net EZ
  24. Something they're trying to throw together over on the NWnasioc board. I told them that if it was in WA and invlolved a RallyX, that I could promise at least 20 of us to sign up. What say? Leave your answer here, so we don't get us confused with the new guys. We can later post a link to this thread over there.
