The Height Adjustable Suspensions were Banned in the United States from 1974 to 1981, due to the Stringent interpretation of Passenger vehicle bumper height regulations by the U.S. government agency NHTSA. Subaru was one of a few manufacturers who offered such feature in the United States, after the ban was lifted, on the Subaru XT, the gen III Subaru Leone wagon (EA82), and the Subaru Legacy for a short time, but instead of Hydraulic, those newer suspension controls, were Electro-Pneumatic. I knew that Subaru offered Suspensions with some sort of "Height" Control, on certain "Top of the Line" pre 1985 models in some markets of the World except USA, due to said Ban; BUT those older suspension controls were Hydraulic instead. But as far as I know, it was Not Exactly a Height Control, but a Load control, in which by a Switch on the Dash, the Ride became a little higher but Harder, like in "Sport" mode of the old toyota celicas, with the Hydraulic system aid / Pressure; or the Ride becomes Softer and lower when the Hydraulic assistance is turned off. I never saw any hydraulic assisted suspension "in Person" but I heard about that in Honduras long years ago, the old Subaru Mechanics from the local Subaru dealer's repair shop, told me about such feature which came in few "Fully Optioned" Wagons. LADM (Latin American Domestic Market) Specs Subaru Badge, made of individual Stickers... ...was used on Local DL's and looks identical to the Mitsubish¡t Montero sticker Badges. Long years ago, I placed one of those Sticker Badges on my Subie, see: Kind Regards.

In my Personal case, I sealed the intake / adapter on my Subaru "BumbleBeast" Using Aluminium Welding, as you can Read on my Weber Swap Writeup (Here) But I suggested Shellac, because not all the people want to do that as a Permanent Modification. The welding avoid the use of Gaskets ...and future vacuum leaks for Sure. Kind Regards.

Brats only came with Jump Seats for the USDM only, due to the "Chicken Tax" they were sold in USA 'til 1987, while many countries in the rest of the world got them available 'til 1994. So, that photo could be the stock sent to Latin America / Australia \ Europe / Asia, etc... Kind Regards.

That leak will never be Easy to Seal if Matching surfaces are Not flat, But I've had great Results in the past with Shellac in similar circumstances. Don't forget to Smear both sides of the Gasket. Let us Know the Results. Kind Regards.

Also, Nico has the Rare "Full Automatic-Cover" Fog Halogen Lights, optioned for the Early EA82 Turbo. ...and this is the Switch, mounted on the Dashboard, for Factory Halogens, on EA82 Subarus:What I did, is to Save the Photos, and re-Host them onto my Albums, in order to Avoid Stealing your Bandwidth, and I re-posted them on that Thread, writing that they belongs to you of course. It is interesting that I chose exactly the Same spot on the engine bay of my "BumbleBeast" to place a similar but simplier Relay Box, instead the old, exposed relays Setup that came from Factory...
