Why? Use the xt6 rack by all means. But the wiring, putting in new brushes, and the special fluid... Easy pass.

Well. Time to re seal the oil pump... I had a brief reprieve from the death tick. But it came back. Not nearly as loud and it went away again.... XT is getting bored with commuting.... :-\

I only have like 2 and 2/3s....

Make sure the vents are clear. I had an Escort that would fog the corners. I blew out the vents and it quit fogging. My theory is that the moisture escapes out these vents on the sunny days.

Title is WAY more interesting than the thread. Does the car run okay? Get decent gas mileage?

Eureka! Not so epic fail! I only botched the valve cover gasket job! All licked and no tick! :-)

Epic fail..... I put on my cam tower, timed the belts and disty and cranked her up. well... It puked oil all out the bottom... So I'll be tying again soon. I really need to fix this so i can fix the oil leaks on the XT. Ieither didn't clean well enough or didn't use enough sealant.

I've had 3 others that didn't tick. So 3 outta 4 ain't bad. But no fear, i will stop that tick! And thanks! Yeah she's a beut!
