Rare parts in CO yards
Would you be able to score any parts off that EA81T for me?

How the heck do I put a CD player in a Brat??
So, Brian can a standard DIN sized CD player fit in the lower half of the slanted console? In your first picture it looks like the lower panel is cut for a head unit, but I figured I would ask anyway.

EA81 Rear Swaybar - Which to Use?
Alright, I'm just glad I saved this for this type of moment. Behold the glory! Since only EA82 cars were avalible with rear swaybars, this is the only chart you need. Obviously the 4WD XT6 is the largest (Bigger than Edrach's) but it will create a more playful rear end. I've decided to go with the XT6 bar and all thats left to do is get it mounted and then source the Whiteline 24mm front bar, muhahahahaha!

Webber 32/36 V 34/34
I know that somebody has been running a 34/34, or maybe a 38/38 on their EA series car. I did a search for "weber, 34" and this is what I came up with: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/search.php?searchid=124462

How the heck do I put a CD player in a Brat??
Thats what I have for my car. When I get a little closer to installing my head unit, I'll snap a few pics. Tex, your welcome to stop by and hold it up to your dash if you need some reference.

ea81 turbo pistons...updated 2 july with new pics.
The non-turbo pistons (EA81) are 8.7:1, and the turbo ones are 7.7:1. The turbo pistons would have a larger dish.

legacy seats in a hatch
Physically they will fit in you cabin, but you will need custom brackets to mount them.

*Need Advice: Speaker Removal* Updated with pics!
For those who haven't seen the difference between the stock EA81 front speakers here they are. The passenger's side is 4x6" and the driver's side is a 3x5.5". Contrary to popular opinion, I found the driver's side much easier to remove. The speaker in the center is the one that is replacing the factory units. It is a 10cm Pioneer 80W peak, 20W RMS speaker. Obviously this new speaker will not bolt in to the factory locations. Time for custom brackets! Thes are the brackets I made for the passenger's side. Brackets installed: Speaker installed in the factory location: I should have the driver's side fabbed up tomorrow night.

83/84 turbo wagon front struts?
Could you poke around your struts and see if you can figure out the brand, etc? It would be nice to put some stiffer springs and struts on my wagon!
-
83/84 turbo wagon front struts?
That is correct. The standard EA81 4WD spring is 134lb/in while the turbo springs are 146lb/in as well as being shorter. The struts are the same regardless of asperation.

updating '84 GL with '90 Loyale...possible?
EA81 and EA82 also refer to the chassis as well.

*Need Advice: Speaker Removal* Updated with pics!
Well, I've already got the passenger side fabbed up. It might sound stubborn, but I'm gonna get the driver's side out and it'll be sweet! Anyone who has done this please help me!

*Need Advice: Speaker Removal* Updated with pics!
Anyone? Im making custom mounts and need this sucker out!

*Need Advice: Speaker Removal* Updated with pics!
I already did a search but came up blank. I need advice on removing my driver's side front speaker from my dash. This is on an EA81. I got the fuse box off as well as the bottom screw that holds the speaker in but I can't seem to find anything else that holds the speaker in place. Any help you can give would be life saving! I can get pics if necessary.

Wow, that looks great, but mine is going into an EA81 so it'll look a bit different. Anyone have pics of theirs installed?

Picked up a Metra kit!
I was helping my friend install a stereo in his car and while we were picking up his installation kit I asked if they had a kit for my car. Lo and behold, they had ONE left! I bought it on the spot and now I just need a spare radio box to play around with. Here are pics:

eeek BAD RX!!
Did you unbolt the contro arm from the engine crossmember? If you didn't, try pulling on the knuckle assembly while compressing the tranny side. Then when that falls off, use a hammer to knock the threaded end of the axle out. This method always works for me.
