  1. I've seen one brat there EVER. It was a lifted gen 1 that we snagged some of the lift off of.
  2. Corky, the whole engine was there as of Tuesday, but no turbo it was gone... I wanted that too.
  3. They were not avalible on EA81s in the US at all. They were an option on any EA82, so potentially any car could have one, but typically they were on RXs and Turbos and apparently sometimes on XT6s. Basically, check everything you can find.
  4. Inexpensive coilovers that can be retrofitted to EA81s, camber plates, ureathane engine and tranny mounts, 5x100 lug adapters, the list in neverending.
  5. I must say, I now know why some of us live at the yards! While I was at the Lynnwood PAP on Tuesday I made quite a score! In one day I managed to score a pushbar off an 81 wagon and a 3rd eye from the same car, pieced together a new driver's seat as well as a VLSD off of a turbo legacy and all the doodads that I've been looking for to make my car perfect. This was my lucky day I guess, but now I'm hooked and will be making another trip next week sometime to get the rest of the bits I need. Just had to share my enthusiasm!
  6. I'm slowly getting started on installing a RX box in my EA81T wagon. The stub shafts coming out of the RX tranny are 25 spline while our EA81s have 23 splines on their trannys. One or two people have had custom axles made, but they were something like $100US to have made. My plan of action is to pull the 23 spline stubs from an 85-89 Leone and swap them with the 25 spline RX stubs. This should let us use the stock EA81 axles. Hope this helps some.
  7. I'm not planning on taking this car offroad, so the placement of the fog lights was dictated by the best position for cutting through fog, which is down low. Also, it is a turbo car so it runs hotter than a carb'd car plus it has an A/C condenser blocking the radiator. If I had mounted the fog lights above the bumper, this would block more airflow to the radiator. If I want to offroad I have this: It has KCs which I beleive someone else suggested. These however are placed to light up the ground in front of the car.
  8. Heres some insperation, Hella 500's:
  9. Haha, if I had one then yeah, I'd let you borrow it!
  10. I'll second that since I'm planning on doing that in the near future. Maybe I could get one of each...
  11. If you're planning on offroading, steer clear of a turbo. Just think of what could happen when a hot turbo is dunked into a cold puddle. Do a search on weber carbs and you will find a plethora of info.
  12. I agree with Zap. My hatch has a PKDavis 3/3" lift and I like how the car slants forward. However, would sitll love a 4/3" just for the extra clearence!
  13. These pics doesn't help much, but you get the idea:
  14. Unless you plan on welding in the two peice driveshaft, you will need to lengthen the one peice driveshaft. You might have to grind some off the bellhousing on the engine side to clear the flywheel. I suggest getting Jerry's (Bratsrus1) conversion kit, it makes the swap much easier.
  15. I'm thinking that a bell mouth for merging the wastegate might be the best solution. Even if the wastegate pipe is longer, all you're doing is moving the turbulence further down the exhaust system. The bell mouth is the same design the Cobb tuning uses on their downpipes.
  16. I'm in the process of installing a stereo in my wagon and I've decided that the stock speaker wiring needs to go. Its just to thin for REAL speakers.
  17. I have the mechanical fan on my turbo car but I want to swap to an electric one. How can I wire it up and still have it operate in the stock manner?
  18. I'm about to do this to my RX tranny for my wagon. While I'm in there, how do I swap to the lower-low range? Does anything need to be modded to do this?
  19. I like Flomaster mufflers. They made my buddy's mustang and 944 sound pretty darn good.
