  1. Well that is the side that is right next to the turbo, so the extra thermal load would easily do those cylindars in. This summer, I plan on getting a really nice heat sheild for the turbo in my wagon to keep the heads happy.
  2. They should. When they redesigned the Impreza, they didn't change the shocks or springs and since the legacy and impreza share the same suspension, they should interchange.
  3. I'm planning on working with a 10lb sledge!
  4. I really like my dealer. They generally understand what I'm talking about (EA81, EA81T, etc). The other cool thing is that one of them was advertising to his coustomers about WCSS6, and mentioned that he might go down for a day. The might not always have the parts I need, but can generally point me to a dealer that has the parts. Chaplin's Subaru kicks butt!
  5. Wow, except for the exhaust not being original, that car looks really incredibly stright and clean for its age! I like your idea of a matching pair, but the question begs asking, which will they be matched to? The brown brat or the red (?) go kart?
  6. Happy Board-Day Eric! And a late but great 4/20 to the rest of you out there! This will be my third year on this board, but the changeover from the ezboard cut me off and I lost about a year and 700 posts!!! Oh well, but Eric, Ken, Mick and Shawn thanks for creating such a great subaru haven for all us "Sub Junkies" to hang out in!
  7. Yes there are a few ways to fix this. First would be to take it to your local muffler shop and have them weld it back up. This would be an inexpensive way to go about fixing it. A second way would be to go to a junk yard and pull yourself a new y-pipe or mid pipe and swap it with your old one. Just make sure the engines are of the same asperation (non-turbo, etc). If you do the labor yourself, this could be the most cost effective way to go. Or you could buy an aftermarket replacement exhaust. Hope this helps!
  8. I'm interested in those numbers. Could you post them?
  9. That is SO COOL!!! That might be on my list of international parts! I wonder if US seats will mount to the height adjustable frames... Are those seats fairly common and are they avalible in light brown?
  10. I beleive this is the offending hose: Anybody have to replace one of these little buggers in the car? The solution that I can think of to get to it without removing too many things is to take off the exhaust manifold, but as I remember getting it off and back on the turbo is a PITA. Any ideas?
  11. Sweet! I might have to find myself an STi key!
  12. Ross, I'm gonna need to see pics of your height adjustable seats!
  13. I really like my mug, but it is true, I never use it. Maybe a large pint would be better. I'd like screen printing as opposed to last years etching, unless we decide on a mug, then etching would be better. Not that my vote is very helpful or anything...
  14. Graphite powder on the rubber window seals, eh? I'll have to try that...
  15. What do you guys suggest I use to lubricate the power window sliders on my 84 wagon? The windows are getting a little slow and I would like to freshen them up. Should I use while lithium grease or something else like bearing grease?
  16. I think that with some of the old parts, the dealers don't cross reference them, so when their supply of parts is gone, they don't know what else fits so they assume there are none left. Some of the parts are really hard to find though, like the rubber saucer for the PS pump that keeps spilled fluid off the belts. I've been looking for one for 3+ years with no luck.
  17. Unless there is zero to almost no rust on them, they won't go for much more than a regular set of wagon wheels on the board. But on ebay however, you might be able to get more for them... You never know!
  18. I don't think anyone has done that yet. If I get a good set of heads for my EA81T, I might have someone do them up a bit. It sits on your shoulders for now though!
  19. I would talk to a european car shop or a Peugeot mechanic and see if tehy have any or know where to find some.
  20. My vote as an EA81T owner is to keep it original!
  21. Hurray! A pristine set of heads! Wish mine looked that good...
