  1. When I drove my Mercedes, I always wanted a manual. Now that my subaru has a manual, there are times I wish I had an auto. However, I'd still want a manual over an automatic any day. Plus you can put the LSD in the back of the auto, if it doesn't have one.
  2. After the server ate my article, I finally retyped it. Have a look and tell me what you think! http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/article.php?a=100
  3. I know this one guy who I always see in Newcastle who has a cherry brat! Oh wait, it Wagonpowaa!
  4. When Lepetitprince registered his brat, we asked if we could change the registraiton from a truck to a passenger vehicle. We could have but since in Washington truck registration is calculated by GVW, its cheaper to have it registered as a truck. Go figure!
  5. The GL Gen 1 brats had the quad headlight set up and a techometer along with some other stuffs. The Gen 2 turbo brats were 83.5-84 (Small diffference I know). Subaru put the jump seats in to skirt import tariffs on imported trucks. By putting the seats in the back they could call it a multi-purpose vehicle and avoid the tariffs. In Japan the brat was used as an agricultural vehicle. This is the best guide you will find for brats (Be aware that its a pdf file) http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/brats/Brats.pdf
  6. Don't use Lucas. While it does make your oil climb gears better, it will also make your oil froth and you will have little air bubbles everwhere.
  7. I think its 42 or 43 psi, something like that.
  8. Never had any trouble with the ankle rolling method. BTW that is a SICK 944!
  9. Thats what I thought, now I'm not so sure. Makes me wonder about my injectors though because EA82 injectors can be interchanged with EA81Ts. Guess I'll have to send some injectors to RC.
  10. That is an incredibly low price for a radiator! Does anyone know if Radiatorworld's rads are trustworthy?
  11. Would you look at the camber on that rear wheel!
  12. I had an axle go on my T wagon and was worried that I wouldn't be able to find an axle to fit before I had to leave for school. Thankfully I was able to steal one off of my lifted 81 hatch! Thank you subaru for making almost everthing interchangeable!!!
  13. Prodrive P7s right? Sorry to spoil the fun! I'm very jealous! Where/how did you score those?
  14. Is this what the keys look like?
  15. Oooooo! I want an EA82T now! That looks sharp!
  16. You can use the 4 speed manual from the EA81 if you want to save a little green, but why not upgrade while you do the swap. Use the search function to find one of the threads that has more details.
  17. For the brakes I would go with Brembo stock replacement rotors (Best quality) and PBR Metal Master pads if you can find some. I've found the brembo rotors and pads for under $20 online.
  18. How much less does the RX weigh than the OB?
  19. I have a MSD Blaster 3 coil and while I can't comment on any performance gains (It was installed while the car was being worked on), it definatly has NOT left me stranded like many who run the Accel coils have.
  20. The VIN for a turbo brat should be JF2AT55BXEF500001 and after with the X being a check digit.
  21. Look at the emissions sticker under the hood. The turbo cars had the timing set to 13 deg BTDC while non turbos should be something like 8 deg BTDC.
  22. A leak down test will test the cylinder's ability to hold pressure, not only is this useful for checking rings, but also valve guides and seals.
  23. This is my wallpaper: I also have a bigger version.
  24. 84 GL hatch with PKD 3" lift. 27" Kumho MTs on 14" Pugs with the stock suspension cranked all the way down. Trimmed fenders, but nothing too drastic.
