Lightweight Wheels
This is what I'm running on my wagon. 13" Enkei eight spoke wheels. They are DAMN light, but I haven't had them on a scale yet.

Lightweight Wheels
I'd LOVE to have rims that light! However, I'm going to side with NorthWet and say that the rims probably weigh around 15lbs or more.

If not Subaru, then what would you choose........
I don't think the Magnum has any AWD option, although I have been wrong before. The highlander/murano/freelander are more like SUVs and have "AWD" systems that match that. They do not put power to all four wheels at once. My vote is the subaru. Your local mechanics should be able to handle anything the sube can throw their way, but if you have doubts, take it to the dealership, I mean after all, every car they touch is a sube!

Rear discs on a Gen 1?
This was discussed a while back, but I can't seem to find it. Who has done this and what was involved? I seem to remember something about grinding the trailing arm a bit, but no pics were ever produced.

Momo and Nardi aren't just for the new gen anymore!
Hey Ken, I've had mine for over a year. I just used the Momo hub/adapter. They are really rare, but they are out there.

Walmart Tires! (Question)
I like the performance that I've gotten out of my Kumhos so far. They are around $75 from the Tire rack, so they're not too bad price wise and I bet that they are much better in mud than the Walmart tires.

If you mean the ambiant air temperature switch, it is on the spare tire support.

Anyone know where this goes?
Its off of an EA81 carb'd. It has subaru markings on it, so it is a subaru part. Wondering if it would keep water off of important things.

2004 CSCC autox standings
Well, our racing season in Bellingham was cut short this year . But the results are up and boy do they look good! http://www.chuckanutscc.org/ I placed first in class while the old man took second. Hopefully there will be more competition in C6 next year, although we might get bumped into a higher class when the STi gets here ! I also think it would be fun if we had a USMB autox day next time CSCC has an event at Mt. Baker, as there is usually a BBQ and sun when we are there! Anyhow, it was an awesome season, the Helmgren boys did awesome despite missing an event and getting a few events cut!

Lift kits
I say go email PK Davis and urge him to make a lift kit for your car asap! The more demand there is for certain products, the more likely they are to come to market faster. If you don't feel like waiting a year, PM or email lepetitprince about lifting options for Outbacks as he has done some reaserch into it for his own car.

just bought my first suby
Three cheers for the fellow snowsports instructor!

Rebuilt Tranny? where to buy?
I would say go to your local pull a part and find a used one. Maybe try talking to CCR and see if they know anyone who rebuilds trannys or shcucks/napa? I really have no idea other than a used one.

TWE Parts installed Pics
I did some 4th geat pulls in my EA81T this weekend and my turbo light and boost gauge start reading positive manifold pressure at 1200rpm and hit max boost at 2000rpm. I wouldn't mind a slower spool up if I gained a lot of power! WJM, IMHO I think it would be better to do dyno tests in between adding major parts so that you can see what is benifiting the power band the most.

Mini snow run
You should get one of Eric's videos and show him what a real sube can do! This was the same spot that the HP was at on a snow run a few years ago. I just felt good getting up it in my stock wagon!
-
how do lift kits install
Take the pics out to your car and look at both at the same time. Basically anywhere that the suspension or drivetrain bolts to the car its self, part of the lift gets installed there.

Mini snow run
We still have no idea where the leak is! It is small enough that all the water that leaks evaporates before you can see it, but large enough to be cautious about. Sorry, I can't control what my car does after its been non-op of so long! I didn't mean to stiff you guys, but it was my Dad's idea to stay close to home, and he has a sense of when things will fail then I do. I trust his judgement. We called you guys from North Bend, so we were on our way. Again, sorry I shafted you guys but I'd rather preserve my $1000 engine than risk running out of clean water for the engine.
