The engine side was worse. The tranny side didn't want to move, sot it was preserved. That ugly coffin/porta potty is our yard waste bin.

So I finally got around to pulling the clutch on my hatchback. It hasn't been driven in months due to a bum clutch, but little did I know how bum the clutch really was! I DO know how to drive a manual, so its not like I was ignorant, this clutch just really gave up the ghost, also was abused by a few local kids before I got it stuck.

Got any pics? I've never seen a sube on its side (Roof, yes), so for now, I'm calling your bluff!

Here is that pic, and by the way the "snow" was some sort of insulation.

Technically there is no OBD connector because these cars are MUCH older than the first legislation that required OBD.

Well I know I'll be breaking something tomorrow! -
I'm just wondering what is involved in getting the outer splined stub shaft disconnected from the axle. Haven't dived into the FSM yet, but if nobody speaks up, I may be forced to.

Ed, why such a funny oil change schedule? -
Are you asking what viscosity fluid to put in?

I want a map to match my specific mods on my pushrod motor. I cant get that from a guy making generalizations on an OHC car. -

Can't this guy do it and then send it in a software bundle? -

It would be nice if he could set it up so we could reflash our chips with a laptop or something. Like a tuneable computer. -
This sounds like a spring project!

If I can't make it to the dealer, I just get a K&N filter. I'm not gonna stress over a few bucks buying online. -

Assuming that these will actually work for the EA81T computer, I'd be in, but can't pay until summer (College= no job until then). -
Meh, not my cup-o-tea.

Hmmm, I wonder how this would feel in the turbo wagon. I do have a set of 13x6" enkeis that match the set on my car and could fit a wider tire on the back... I wonder...

I feel your case Matt, although, I do have a welder...

Please do so!

Not sure if this is the appropriate forum. I was wondering if those folks who have run their cars without the front axles could tell me about the handling of their cars. Is there a lot of drag in the system? What is the handling balance? Economy improved or worsened? How much of a beating can the rear CVs take? Overall I want to know your thoughts on the car after the swap.
