  1. Very cool! Lots of intercooler on there.
  2. Rally Turkey started today! Subarus currently hold 2nd and 6th after the day's only SS. GO SUBARU!!! http://www.wrc.com/jsp/index.jsp?lnk=405&season=2008&rally_id=TR
  3. Agreed. Keeping the exhaust valve pulses seperated until right before the turbo will increase the efficency of the turbo setup. It's sort of muted by the siamesed ports, but every little bit helps. I used the same effect on my personal header.
  4. Same here, email away! I'm waiting to see what others come up with as far as resusitating the old digis. In fact, I have my dash apart right now with two digi dashes and two analog sets. Just waiting to see which will be the most painless way to do things. On the analog swap front, I just picked up the dash wiring from an analog set up. Can I just unplug the old digi harness, replace it and the gauges with analog stuff? I know that the fuel and maybe temp senders might be calibrated differently, but by swapping the complete, uncut harness allow me to forgo the jumper harness GD has described?
  5. Not much, actually. If I had the money, which I don't, I would be hard pressed to pay over $3,000 for a non-4WD, non-BRAT, non-GSR vintage subaru, even if it was in brand new condition. But that is just me. Are you thinking of selling her?
  6. PICS MAN, PICS!!! You've managed to get this thread to three pages (4 now) w/o a single new picture of your wagon... pay up!!
  7. Hehehehehe!!! I'm so ****ing excited!!! http://www.scoobyblog.com/2008-06-04/subaru-impreza-coupe
  8. That is exactly the move Subaru is currently making. The current Legacy shows this quite clearly. Some have noticed that the starting price for Subarus have been creeping upward. At the same time, they have increased their market share considerably. The company is already in a niche market. Compact and mid-sized AWD cars with odd engines and a strong performance to boot. I think subaru will need to start making two wheel drive vehicles, and it would be neat to be able to pick a FWD, RWD or AWD Impreza in its next iteration. It would be super easy for Subaru to do. They have the currently unused FWD technology sitting on a shelf, AWD in full production mode. Our community has proven that they can be RWD too, hell my wagon will wag its tail with the best of them now (drifting reference)! This new platform proves again that Fuji has been listening closely to the enthusiest market for the last few decades. And we have seen this car before... I think that Subaru saw the reaction to the Prodrive P2 and decided to go into production with a watered down version. Just as before, we know that Subaru really means LEGO, and it would be super easy for them to "STI" this new platform and vaulting it above the current STI as the new corperate "halo car".
  9. I'll be at WCSS10 this year in my cheap (fast) wagon, waiting to race... Anyway, if they aren't stainless I'll pass. I would only be getting one to slap on a dyno and compare to my header (stainless). If it won't outlast the one I have on there, there is no point in getting one.
  10. Lies. What angle are the pie pieces welded at? Anything more than 14 degrees will cause flow seperation on the inside of the radius, reducing the velocity of the exhaust gas column and thus lowering HP potential.
  11. Get the link from your brother and post it up in this thread...
  12. Caboob, you want to forward that info to me? Beataru - Would it be a real TWE part, or a copy? I would pay that for a TWE part, but more like $200 for a copy. It would have to be stainless and mandrel bent.
  13. Where did you read that? I don't disagree, but I'd like to check it out for myself.
  14. Check out this press for the most recent and car punishing event, the Acropolis Rally in Greece. Hats off Fuji, looks like another incredible car! http://wrc.com/jsp/index.jsp?lnk=101&id=1494&desc=%E2%80%98Risky%E2%80%99%20new%20car%20strategy%20pays%20off%20for%20Subaru http://www.rallye-info.com/article.asp?sid=0&stid=7025 http://www.rallye-info.com/article.asp?sid=0&stid=7032 http://wrc.com/jsp/index.jsp?lnk=101&id=1509&desc=New%20Subaru%20scoops%20WRC%20award http://www.rallytorrents.com
  15. Sold me on both I think! What sizes will they be available in? I'd like a pair of large hotwheels ones for my hatch. Like 12"x6" or something BIG!
  16. I didn't even know you could still get these. If possible, how much did you get it for? I might get one for comparison purposes.
  17. Lighter components mostly. If it's steel, I want it in aluminum. If it's AL, I want it titanium. I could get this stuff from Ram or Paeco, but I'd like to get it locally if supply and cost will permit.
  18. SWEET wagon!!! Where did you get that front lip?!?
  19. Both of your previous pictures of the modified frame rails look like the driver's side, correct? Do you have pics of the passenger's side?
  20. Tex, or anyone who has built their own fuel rails, do you have a shopping list of the parts I would need to get? I'd like to throw enough parts on the car that once I get all the systems tuned properly, I won't have to do any supporting mods after the thrash.
