EA81 Hatch Leaky Rear Windows
To all hatch owners out there, what do you do to keep your rear windows from leaking? The leak is towards the rear of the window and subsequently drips onto my rear speakers. I put in some used seals to replace the original ones following the instructions in my FSM, but that doesn't seem to have worked... AT ALL. I didn't use silicone since the FSM didn't call for it, and I won't resort to band-aid solutions. Should I just pony up and buy new OEM seals, or what? Does anyone else have this problem?

Digi Dash Questions
Yeah, that would be sweet, but only if it's good.

Digi Dash Questions
Has anyone made any progress on these? I'm sorry to say, although I knew it was coming, that my wagon's dash died this morning. I need help and would like to keep mine intact and fix it using other's knowledge.

Documented: The 1970 FF-1 Project car...
Wow, thats a lot of work. I'm glad to see you sticking with the project instead of tossing it after you found the bad parts. This is the best thread this board has seen in years!

Possessed underhood component: A common part?
Small update: I believe this part to be the Air Temperature relay. Once I have my hands on a spare, I will confirm.

Need engine advice - What to put in the '75?
I'n not sure that engine is going to fit. Pretty sure our car doesn't have a 4 port exhaust. The engine is listed as fitting in coupes and sedans, not wagons. It's a thought though. Besides,I see moosens has bid on it.

Amazing find - Huge Disapointment!!! PICS
Still tons of good, useable, SELLABLE parts on those cars. I say get 'em, part 'em and chop 'em. Is that a rust hole in the ROOF?!?!

Tax return parts...
Oooooo, purdy! I like samis, but don't think I'll ever get one. I realized I like to go fast more than go anywhere.

2008 Rally Mexico
I'm amazed at the lack of response. You'd think that on a Subaru message board, no less the ULTIMATE subaru message board that people would be fanatical about the only legitimate factory racing our beloved company does.

LSD diff. innies vs. outies
I think you can just put in the RX diff. I did the opposite on my T-wagon, legacy VLSD into EA81 body and didn't have to swap stubbies. I assume the reverse is also possible.

Your LSD.
That is an awesome idea. I'm in for a few of everything!

NOS Bumper
No. Paul didn't get it. It's just too expensive, for me at least and I assume that's why nobody else has bought it yet. Although there is a similar bumper on ebay for the same price, unless that one is this one.

Low profile street tires on "offroad" wheels?
You will gain mechanical grip with the wider tires, but acceleration, braking and the ability of the tire to follow road irregularities will decrease with heavier wheels.

Timing Belt Kit...ebay?
I bought a kit and it has lasted the 25 miles that I have since put on the car.

EA82T Up-pipe size?
I would agree with Turbone. When our cars were made, Subaru was still a VERY small company. If they could build one car with five different rear ends (Read EA81: Hatch, sedan, coupe, wagon, brat) they would. Which makes me wonder why they would make a bunch of XT specific parts for a turbo engine that was in four different body styles? My guess is that your old engine had an EA81T pipe on it and your parts engine had its original crossover pipe. This would fit with my experience between the two; and I have had both side by side before, sorry no pics.

Low profile street tires on "offroad" wheels?
Besides adding unsprung weight and rotational inertia to your suspension, no it won't hurt anything. Might hurt the ride a bit from trying to get those heavy rims to follow road irregularities, but it will be functional.

Maybe another place to get 4x140 14" rims?
Yeah they are! I dare you to put them on your sube!

RRFPR Question
So we should keep our stock FPR and put the new one in the fuel system after the factory one?
-
RRFPR Question
I don't think there are enough people on this board using RRFPRs to really be about to determine a "most popular brand." I have a Jackson Racing ARRFPR, but haven't installed it yet. It was suggested to me that I remove the factory FPR and replace it with the new one, but it is integrated into the fuel system hard lines. Haven't decided how to get around this problem on my EA81T.

I'm in for one Stage 1 and one Stage 2.

Restoration project question
Really you should just give it to me so I can complete my EA81T collection! On a more serious note, I think that the 4 speed can integrated in a seamless manner. Factory 4 speed console, etc. Nobody but a subie nerd would know the difference. The alloys are so rare at this point that you should just put on whatever you can get your hands on. Then give it to me!!!
