Just a taste ..of my Coupes Restoration Work
carfreak85 replied to Bucky92's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
On the coupes at least, that rear subaru badge has a key hole in it. Sloppy people may have scratched off her chrome in the past. Looking good Connie! Keep up the good work and keep us updated! -

Earplugs worked wonders for me last year. Don't know if you've gone that route yet. -
Shoot me a PM and I'll tell you.

Just wondering if there will be an engine swap class this year, and if it will be enforced? Seems silly to have such custom rigs classes with factory ones. Why was the class dropped last year anyway? -
I've already got the event preview and all three episodes. Eric, you are the very definition of a fairweather fan. How long ago did you lose interest in the Sonics? I'm sure if we ran three to five team$ like Ford doe$ we could win the championship easily.

It all depends on how tired and rusty it is. A 100% perfect, rust free, kept in a bubble Brat would fetch well over $5k maybe more for a Gen1. On the flip side, I bought a beat up and rusty 75k mile 1982 Brat years ago for $250.

Another 3rd place for Chris Atkinson!

That looks perfect. I'm a fan of the overrider delete as well, miles of nice smooth chrome.

New Subaru Commercial With Brat
carfreak85 replied to Durania's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I saw the two forester commercials yesterday. Kinda makes you wonder how much sway we have in the Subaru community as a whole. It seems as though this ad was aimed directly at this message board. -
Does your friend actually drive that car? With no fog light cover? In the rain? AND with no air filter? That 2.7 ain't gonna last very long running in conditions like that.

Can we substitute the EA82 ball joint and sleeve for an EA81 ball joint? Planning this mod on an EA81. -
ea81, and ea82 ball joints the same part?
carfreak85 replied to archemitis's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
What about the width of an EA81 ball joint versus that off an EA82? Specifically the part that slips into the hub, will an EA81 ball joint fit in an EA82 hub? If not, is it larger or smaller? -
Nissan used that stuff in the older Infiniti Q45 sedan. You can trust it in your wet noodle wagon chassis, I plan to.

Need more engine swap advice

Does anyone know the width of an EJ22? -
All those pics are from here: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/80s/projectrudy/rudy.html

If you know how to download a torrent, the files are there for the viewing. Atkinson's third podium finish in four rallies. Solberg is sniffing out a win in the next round, Jordan. That round is set to start April 24 and run until the 27th. Live radio broadcast can be heard streaming live at wrc.com during the event.

No, but I did have to leave the whip behind... Was it Zefy? I know he was looking to put an EJ in there, but not sure if it's done yet.
