  1. I find it more interesting is that since my computer crashed. My only pics are up on the USMB. So they would of had to come onto the websight to find them to post them.
  2. 6 1/2 will fit in the factory placement on the front door.
  3. Hes got it spot on thats for sure. I found guidos long lost twin.
  4. http://tricities.craigslist.org/cto/1827689046.html I didnt know i lived in TN either.
  5. You know, when i saw this add on craigslist i thought it was a joke. Clearly it was not. Nice fine brent. Dont know why you want to do all that stuff. Just fix the front and drive the sucker man. With the ground clearance youll get you wont need a plow. You can clear the snow in your driveway just fine. U thinkin of taking the brat back to stock.
  6. Listen, your preaching to the chior here. We know what your talking about. Most of the people on here did just what you did. Hell i did it to. I figured, ill never drop a dime in this turd. And you know what, my brother never droped a dime in it for 2 years and he got it for free. I put 1500 bucks or so into mine before i retired it to (offroad use) over the course of 4 years. And i didnt even need to do that stuff, it was just stuff i felt it needed at the time. Hell i just changed the oil for the 2nd time in 4 years time. Its the simplicity of it is what gets you. How something so unloved can be loved. Anyways like its been said, if you replace the timeing belts your good to go. I have a commuter car now but i still wish i drove the little wagon. If youve got a 4wd youll love it even more. The most unstopable all weather car you can get for hardly any money. Heres mine. What it started out as. What it is today.
  7. Well i work late but my wife has been in the hospital again lately with really bad lung infections. Shes ok but its really stunk this past few days. I haven't gone to work all week. And frankly i don't even know if theres going to be a job waiting for me.
  8. Right, but then you got a legacy. With a quote unquote better engine and more reliable auto tranny. I thought you would of gone all out with your loyale then and kept your legacy a DD. Something the cops aren't going to look at again. and again. I'm not trying to put you down tom, to each there own. I'm just saying with most of the cars i have look not even half as nice as your legacy did before you painted it.
  9. I guess i like what you did, but i try to leave daily drivers somewhat incognito. I thought thats what you had but to each there own i guess.
  10. Nice new project mick. I think your bike will get together faster then mine will.
  11. Ok so the economy is bad, and i dont have alot of free money now. The problem is that my 2005 Dodge Caravan is starting to have transmission problems. Nothing to bad but its starting to clunk into gear pretty good. I dont have a spare 3 grand to replace the transmission if it goes. So, i was thinking about tradeing it in on something else but when dodge went down the crapper so did my vans value. Now i would be upside down pretty good if i tried to do this but for me it would be worth it as long as the vehicle i was getting lasted me for the next 10 years and i didnt need to worry about the drivetrain. Here inlies the problem. Would you guys hang on to the one i have which i have 3 years to pay on still. Or get something else for another 6 to maybe even 7 years worth of payments. I know it sounds crazy but i just want 1 vehicle i dont need to worry about to much. I thought the van was it but that dodge transmission finally bit me in the butt. Any ideas would be great. Thanks Ben
  12. Another bump, Bank approved going for a test drive in a couple days. Well see how it goes
  13. I guess those wanting or wishing to go who couldnt before think of alternative dates you think you would be available. Though as you know it gets way sticky hot here in july and august months. Plus take into account that we have the Iowa State Fair in August as well. Which if you dont go every year its pretty neat to take in. And also school starts up again for the kiddies so take that into account as well.
  14. Bump, talking to the bank tomorrow and if it goes well well go from there. No rust and just a dent on the hatch and quarter which is easy to fix. Nice leather and no sunroof. All the other bells and whisles though. I really liked driveing my brothers 98 legacy gt so this would be a nice pickup for me.
  15. Just talked to the guy. He says he needs a pickup so he has no need for the car. New HGs, Clutch, Timeing Belts and Water Pump 20k ago. He has recepts from ramsey when they went through the whole engine. This is sounding very very good.
  16. Aww B that would of been perfect but i dont have the cash on me now. And i honestly dont know if i can replace the HGs my self in a parking lot. Buy chance did you get the miles or rust condition.
  17. This makes me think of the Legacy GT my brother just got rid of. When Ramsey (UGH) Subaru did a check on it it still had the original HGs at 150k and showed no signes of leaking. But the subaru mechanic still recomended replaceing it if he had to do a clutch anyway. Just a precautionary method. He was like, i would need to pull the motor to get at the clutch so might as well replace that while its out. Kinda in a tough spot because no one is gonna loan me money to buy a 94 or older legacy and these ones do tend to have a bit of problems. Otherwise id half to venture outside the subaru family.
  18. Just curious if you guys think this is worth it. I havent called them but price seems good and it is a 5 speed with leather so thats cool. Would need to get a loan but my taurus is kinda a crap box and im tired of it. http://desmoines.craigslist.org/cto/1766837310.html
  19. U know they make something somewhat similar for the ea82s. Im wondering how this is gonna sound.
  20. Ok well its settled then, the iowa campout is dead. Lets try to rev it up in a couple more months guys. Maybe most of you can clear your schedule buy then.....
