Brat emblem
I'm guessing that you're talking about the targa stripe decal. A member here, Pooparu, makes them. Look here

Cars stolen
Actually, our neighbors have been helpful in giving what information they can. It's just that it was likely a trusted outsider/helper (we have a good lead now) that hauled them off and the neighbors can't always be around to be see/stop everything... SuperBrat, that was probably my dad since I'm just getting back to the area after 9 years. Plus I recall him mentioning your Brat; he's not shy.

Cars stolen
Yeah, they're visible from the road, but in a small rural town that nobody drives through unless they live there or have some sort of connection. There is no other reason to visit and no way of really knowing it's there/stumbling on it. No notice or reason. I was there Sunday and today's trip down discovered the latest victim. (And you can actually scrap a car without title. Won't go into how, but it can be done.) Gen 2 wagon - The famous Applewagon

Cars stolen
Sorry if this is the wrong section, mods, please move as necessary... We currently had a bit of bad luck as 4 of our cars were hauled off of our property in Thronton, WA. We're guessing as scrap due to the pure junk status of one of them. And, as Thornton is in the middle of nowhere, they would have had to travel a bit to get off the radar. They disappeared around the 3rd or 4th of October. They were a gen 1 wagon, gen 2 Brat, gen 3 wagon and XT6. The XT6, in particular, is rather special and missed. Gen 3 wagon - no picture, but it's normal good shape, dark maroon with blue fender on driver's side Gen 1 wagon - it's in even worse shape from other angles and the rear rocker panels are blue Brat - has a maroon tail gate and hard to see, in the picture, but is gold/bronze (ugly) and has those zebra panel things on the doors XT6 - doesn't have roof racks, but the rest is current minus more dirt License plate: 108 ZDQ VIN: JF1 AX9429 LG300010

EJ20H swapped Gen3 Brat build Continues Tear down time.
I love this project and I wish you all the luck. The only question I have is in regards to the proximity of the BMC to the turbo. Is it going to be close enough that you're going heat up your brake fluid? (I know pretty much nothing about brake fade and blah blah, so I ask to invoke more informed members...)

3-car seats.....?
Psyko replied to elmwood22's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXMy sister has a 2010 Outback and a third kid on the way. She said it isn't wide enough to fit three car seats (4 year old, 2 year old and newborn), so they ended up adding a Tahoe. I imagine a 2007 will have the same problem but worse.

has anyone done the hid conversion on gen 2?
Curious... How many of those did I cut the leads off of?

Subaru Imprezza 2012
Psyko replied to nipper's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI agree. ^ Subaru is going in the right direction and we're ragging on them for it? That's what doesn't make sense to me. I'll even go so far as to say the looks are all right. Sure it's nothing to write home about, but that's not what we love Subarus for anyway. Besides, at least they're finally moving on from the current generation of styling (or complete lack there of).

SubyYota is a scion
Psyko replied to bheinen74's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXYou're probably talking about this car. It has been in the works for a while. It's a shortened Legacy chassis with a Subaru boxer drive train. I'm quite excited to finally see the Subaru version come out. We'll finally get to see a proper Subaru sports car. One where they're not held back by AWD, so they can mount the engine lower and further back; take advantage of the boxer's low center of gravity.

My New Ride
Psyko replied to SubaruJawn's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXNice car. It's the twin to my wagon, but much prettier. Why are you so eager to get out of the 2.2? I've got an extra 50k on my drive train and haven't had power issues. Even climbing mountain passes with a full car (people and luggage) only needed a down shift to maintain speed.

Rarest Old-School Subaru Part or Option?
The covers aren't that rare, are they? My dad and I each have a set.

Ratchet straps: Ultimate Soob Recovery tool...
I popped apart a ball joint and bent a strut rod one time. One strap went from the control arm to the spring to hold the control arm to the knuckle. (Ball joint would no longer stay up in the knuckle on its own.) Another strap went from the control arm to the front tow point to keep the whole assembly forward.

Psyko replied to Psyko's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXThat was it. Thanks a ton.

EJ22 exhaust leak from block?
Psyko replied to Psyko's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXThat may just be it. It's a '95 block and I'm pretty sure I used my '93 intake. When I get home, I'll give that a look. Thanks.

EJ22 exhaust leak from block?
Does anybody know what could be causing an exhaust leak that doesn't come from the exhaust? It's a stock dual port EJ22 in a '93 Legacy. I did an engine swap a little over 10k miles ago and my car hasn't shut up since. Shortly after the swap, I put a different y-pipe and new exhaust gaskets on and that didn't help. Then this last weekend I swapped the full exhaust from a whisper quiet Legacy. Exhaust gaskets still looked perfect with no signs of a leakage on either the block or y-pipe surfaces and I didn't disturb any gaskets between sections as I moved the whole unit over as one piece. There was exactly no change though. I haven't visually noticed any obvious leak points. It leaks a good deal of oil despite getting a reseal before going in and, while I don't know compression numbers, it does still pull pretty dang hard. It isn't dire, but I am quite curious as to what could be up.

5 lug swap questions/help!!!!
*insert explicative here* I've been scouring the forums to figure this out. Here it is: EA81 and EA82 control arms are different shapes. Instead of using XT6 control arms on an EA81 you need to use the EA81 control arms and ream out the ball joint hole to accept the larger ball joint. http://ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showpost.php?p=914383&postcount=2

You're a girl. Just ask. It shouldn't be difficult.

Trash BRAT build
Eesh that's ugly. What a mess. My Brat still has an EA81 and I don't have any problem getting into trouble with it. I think an EJ is just asking for it. Besides, being able to pop your hood and show off your spare tire is awesome.

Possibly a dumb question, but I'll ask just in case... Are you going to give that thing an undercoat?

weber help again
Funny. I don't know what size I'm running, but I assure you it is larger than 1/4" and my Brat couldn't care less.
