thats ok....it might be a bear to pull out...but at least you dont have an 85 bolt timing cover like the EZ30's some bolts of varying lengths... -
I really hope so man...I think its going to be a great race...I just go finished repairing a boost leak today...back up to 26 PSI... As for the starter button...I actually made a little brace and bracket it fits right overhead to the right of the driver....I have always loved the "race" cars that have there little control box mounted overhead of the driver to control engine start, fuel pumps etc...So for $15 (self installed) I just had to pop one in....

well either there sarcastically talking about playing in the mud/clay...or claybarring from what i understand is....if you have a real gritty feeling to your paint...you claybar the car and it feels nice and smooth so im assuming your removing impurities and whatnot..i think they call it claybarring because they actually use a bar of clay....at least this is how i understand it....

The cage I actually got from AutoPower...Its a bolt-in 6 pt...Its for the 1/4....I doubt ill be running an 11.49 though...lol The previous owner of the car acutally made the catch can...it is a recirc which is kind of nice so i dont have to worry about it getting full...Its nice to not see any oil in the IC or anything.... Im hoping I run an 11.??...Apparently from the latest dyno number his engine makes like 540 and mine makes like 510...he just doesnt really respect 4 cyl "tuners" hes an old school chevy 350 and BB guy you know the "american V8"...lol...However with a good launch on my car Ill prob strip the teeth right off of first gear..lol (stock 5 spd).. How are you making out with your REX?

Hey Fellas...Been working on my WRX alot lately...So just though I would share the progress..I just recently installed the rollcage, push button ignition and some different parts of the IC piping...Currently im working on fabbing up a decent size piece of aluminum so i can make the rear seat area look tidier...Sometime in the not so distant future I will be racing a Supercharged 383 Stroker (540 HP) (4500 lb car) (my Dad)...Do you think I stand a chance.....Seriously.....Any Ideas? Constructive Criticism? etc... Here Are some recent pics....

ignition realy???...Do you mean the main relay?...either way It should be located above the fuse panel inside the car on the drivers side to the left of the steering column...at least thats where they are in a 91 Legacy, and in my 96 Legacy thats where they put the main relay, FP relay, and sub fan relay #2 ( on models with A/C)...

In 97 I believe Subaru went to mechanical lash adjusters...Have the valves ever been adjusted or checked?....Personally I have a 96 with hydraulic lash adjusters.. I dumped in about half a bottle of seafoam (in the oil) and I havent had the ticking noise come back yet (its been months)...Sometimes small debris gets caught in the oil passages in the rocker shaft and blocks flow to the lash adjusters or a lifter just looses its prime from age...either way...I dont believe this is your case....Any maintaince history on the vehicle?

man that thing is tucked...it looks lower than mine.. I dont know how dark your tint is but When i got my 96..I couldnt see anything out my front side windows at night...so i ended up pulling the tint off of the front two windows...anyways sorry to ramble on...NICE looking wagon dude...You could always drop an EZ30 in it and Turbo it like Jeff Perrin did to his STI..

before you go spending money on a power booster...sometimes the line to the power booster from the intake manifold gets condensation in it and freezes...Im not to sure what part of west virginia your in but was it cold when you left the car? Is the pedal hard the first time you push on it after the car has been sitting for a while? Do this check....Get in the car, put your foot on the brake, start the car, does the brake pedal sink to the floor when you start the vehicle?

Ive heard some of the 05 Legacy GT's have had some ECU problems relating to the cooling fans ( apparently your supposed to go through a check list of items to check/replace before condemning the ECM..but it is to my understanding that something gets damaged in the ECM and allows the cooling fans to continuously run or not run at all) ...Other than that The Legacy is a very good car..I have my 96 with over 200k on it..and it runs very well...I would find out things such as who where the previous owners of the car...any maintenance records available?... check out here... http://www.cars101.com/ for some info...

Axle question.
EVOthis replied to x_25's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVX
I have found there are two pretty easy ways to replace these axles...1 being drop the control arm from the body 2 19mm and from the mount 1 17mm...or undo the castle nut from the ball joint (19mm)and undo 1 of the 14mm's from the sway bar and knock the control arm loose w/ a hammer...personally i like this way...as for the those little bends... personally I wouldnt really worry about it...You could try and knock them back a little with a hammer or something...I have never replaced one of these axles by disconnecting the strut...
