  3. dash check lights stay on. 'brake fluid' 'brake light' and 'battery/charge' they were flashing on and off today but the ru was running fine. the rpm's had no effect on the the flashing. everything i can think of seems tight. id rather not rip the dash out, but if i have to.... anyone have a semi pinpoint idea? ill volt meter it in the morning and see whats up... it does charge at 13-14 volts nothing else was on while it was doing this...
  4. Tranny is coming out doin a "rebuild" on it, new shift linkage bushings are gettin installed. and maybe some internal bearings and syncros depending on how bad it is.. and the clutch WHILE the tranny is out ill be adding 2" of lift to the struts 1" to the engine and tranny lift blocks i know i have to extend the steering linkage as well. also dropping my rear 'swing arms' down 2" to help level everything out and push the wheel away from the fender (next to the door) (don't know when depends on how long the rest takes)
  5. cleaned the rims up good today nice and bright:) washed and waxed the body:lol: its goin to a local mud pit once i install the clutch which hasn't arrived yet.....
  6. the subaru doesnt do to bad actually
  7. tires are 235/75R15 rims are 15x8 the tires still bubble over the lip:grin:.. the off-set is a little more than id like but hey they were free from a local auto shop (family owned)

  9. thanks! i just bought them this morning. i have aluminum slot rims ill be putting them on here soon.. the tires hum a bit but w/e i love the look. i gotta test em once i do my clutch (when i get the kit in the mail)
  10. ive been "wheeling" subarus since high school jr high doesnt exist anymore you might wanna actually know what YOUR talkin about before you open that cock sucker. i have redrilled hubs it took hours and cost me a drill (i didnt have a press just a driveway and a drill with a 16" yota rim. they went on my other silver wagon with blue interior. ive never paid for hubs i just bought a subaru that happened to have the swap. and i wasnt talkin to ur retared rump roast brian so if you would please..... ************ OFF other than that.. drilling out the rims is a easy 4 hole job i never beveled mine, i never had a problem
  11. oh you poor thing you thought subarus were actual wheelers? no you see they are lsd'd independent suspension cars with a 4x4 option:lol: im all jokes on that dont re drill your wheels. do your hubs, its better down the road AND you will have alot more wheel options
  12. ill be doing the same mod hope this helps http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=110546
  13. no seriously its good stuff i hit a tree then took out an unexpecting mailbox and it didn't bend or dent anything the tree was about 8" in diameter and i hit it hard about 15mph (i was in my lake area trying to get my sunglasses out of the back seat ) it hit the part of the bumper where turn signal is(on the outside of the mounting bracket which is the weakest point), the tree made the front of the Subaru jump up and over right into the mailbox and as for the tail light guards i tried to bend and twist em and didn't get them to move more than millimeters without almost cracking the mounts of the light itself
  14. no i did not a friend from Oregon made them hes a board member he also made my roof rack and bumpers as well HTi in vendors fourm ill add this too... i though they were going to be weak due to how they mount.... not the case at all these things are strong as hell! $35 a pair is not a bad price either
  15. painted my newly bought rims and finally installed my taillight guards
  16. id check fort lewis for hydro gear. they throw stuff away all the time (or your local army base)
