  1. Thanks. Better get the hammer ready. BUT NOOOOOO!!!! ITS A MANUAL!!!!
  2. Hi all. Lately I have noticed on my 95 5MT legacy a small delay between turning the key and it turning over. This morning it wouldn't start and after repeated tries I kept the key turned for say ten seconds and it started. Is that the starter or could be something else? Thanks so much. Reduxe ☮️

Gary when youre saying knock the tone ring off you mean with a hammer? The thing is when Ive been looking around at various locations to get them or brake parts too I cant for the life of me figure out where the actual ABS ring is located. Do you need to make sure to get ABS and AWD drive compatible or theyre all pretty much so? Wondering I need at least one toot sweet. Oh and one more thing is there a diffrence between the AT and MT shafts? Thanks Dan
  5. This is another theoretical. A couple months ago someone here made the comment on some discussion about oil pumps or oil, that by the time you see the oil light the egine is already sucking air, something like that. I wondered if anyone here has installed better or aftermarket guages or warning light etc to have finer or earlier warning level? Wondering. Dan
  6. Hi all. I have a 94/95 2.2 legacy wagon with 150k. I've been getting a constant intermittent abs light for a while. I just wondered other than replacing sensor itself on front wheels, or back for that matter but I'm starting on the front, is the abs ring actually located inside the hub/bearing setup? Just wondering, and it is possible to pull the abs codes? I'm
  7. I had one a 97 I think I just didn't check coolant and it evaporated over time and overheated etc. I sold it for 350 to some guys they fixed and resold for 1000 I saw it driving years later. Also one thing to watch for is the short tubes on cooling system there's one I think it's bypass to thermostat that if it goes looks like hole in back center of radiator. I wasted 300 on that once and hahahaha didn't even get home across street from shop already hot again. I didn't even take it to them fixed hose myself. But I have a say your whole thread here is making me feel real good about my dream 95 2.2 with 150k for 2500 recent purchase.
  8. Hey all. This is a theoretical question, but has anyone ever heard of anyone putting a 6 speed manual trans in one of the 90s subes? I have a 95 legacy wagon 2.2 just wondering. Thanks Dan
  9. i am just learning but theres also another brake on the manual trans? that may have been stuck also?
  10. i was looking at a much newer legacy probably 2010 it was some 4500? or less i wondered why so cheap then i researched about the turbo it turns out if you dont maintain it change oil etc it will i guess destroy itself. that doesnt seem to be a problem here it all comes down to how you liike it its pretty much money for a 92. that said i just bought a 95 for 2500 and its my fifth, all from the 90s, its the best ive had yet.
  11. Hey all. I'm mainly in the legacy section of this forum. And 90s at that. ???? But I just wondered why biz and scion are both in this section are they related? Wondering... '97

  13. I came across this thread I thought I'd try a reply I'm in Houston do any of you know anyone who can work on a 95 legacy 5MT? I mean the trans work I'm looking for someone who knows the sube and doesn't cost like a dealer. ???? Thanks Dan
  14. So just to be clear as far as the trans/drive with a 5 speed MT, there are three separate fluids that need changed front and rear diff and trans right? I had seen mention somewhere that the MT didn't have a front diff. I have a 95 legacy wagon. Thanks Dam
  15. yeah thats one thing i miss about pennylvania. not many hills here. i didnt even think about that.
  16. 1995 Legacy 2.2 5 speed MT Just thought id throw this out there. Today its very cold out for texas. Recently ive heard this like clicking noise in the front like once per wheel revolution when in gear and slowing down. And the abs lights been on intermittently. They put me on a job where im supposed to drive about two hours each way (right). So i have to go there this morning and i leave real early to get badge there and make sure im early. The car is driving fine really well in fact, i just put new tires on it, and after an hour of driving i stop in a gas station to get coffee, and when i came back out and starte driving a mile or few later im getting this vibration it sounds and feels like its from the right front or drive up there. Its really bad like a cv joint has totally gone and its getting worse, kind of a pulsating rolling vibe after i accelerate in each gear. Its only when its in gear and driving or accelerating if i push in the clutch it goes away, then its smooth. it was getting so bad I didnt think it would make it to a gas station even. I pull over and call my boss and eventually AAA, im gonna be towed all the way back to houston, so im messing around with it a little, backing up to try to brake and see if it releases im thinking its maybe a frozen caliper, and then trying to drive again its still doing it. Sothen i was resigned to AAA and i sat there a good while, then i thought to try using emergency brake in reverse so I back up (it doesnt do it in reverse at any time) and stop with emergency, and then it suddenly can drive ok. I drove it all the way back home. Never used emergency brake now though. Cancelled AAA call. But now the ABS light is permanent. Also i should say the emergency brake when you release it its not tight to the floorboard its kinda loose. Anybody have any thought before I take it in what it could be? Frustrating on a month old purchase but at least i wasnt driving crosscountry. Yet. Dan
  17. yeah i remember the ebay kits the person i think it was john eggleston here told me you could specify the continental belt there.
  18. did yo ever figure it out? i ooked up the coolant code it weemed it wouldnt heat up fast enough i saw this old one: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/140608-p0125-p0325-p0115-starting-issue-and-more-in-a-95-subaru-legacy/
