  1. My Brat is a daily driver in the summer. I just calculate how many miles to the gallon and how much my tank holds. Yeah I guess junk yard would be the best bet. I couldn't find a new one.
  2. I think that someone knows who the original owner is. The gas guage is most likely the sending unit on the tank. Mine is the same way. The only guage in mine that works is the temp. Other than that I have no gas or oil guage, they stopped working and I don't care to fix
  3. Iridiums is actually what they recommend in the 2.5 motors. But that's probably just because it's a PITA to change them!
  4. Keep in mind the time zones...that might make a difference
  5. I personally wouldn't run anything over a 27" tire. I can't remember does your Brat have dual range? That will be a limiting factor on tire size as well
  6. Yeah I know all about it! Salt and calcium chloride being sprayed on the roads in the winter time....That's why I don't drive my Brat in the winter!
  7. What would they come out of? Do you know?
  8. I'm with you on that one! Oh and champion plugs should only ever be used in lawn mowers!
  9. I think it's pretty solid. He said a couple minor spots but overall I think this is one of the better east coast cars you'll find.
  10. Very nice car! We don't ever see those! I believe the infamous John Bloom has one similar. The wheels are very unique too!
  11. Sweet! Can't wait to see the progress!!
  12. Should just be able to throw another radiator in right? Or did it overheat badly
  13. Grab me the center caps!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. Looks like a pretty clean Brat! It doesn't look like you have a rear window though. What are your plans for it??
  15. Awesome! I'm very jealous! It's good to see you doing a nice job on this! I would do the same, pull the dash etc.
  16. Sweet! Well good luck! I'm looking forward to seeing the wheels on there!
  17. So your gonna be able to get longer studs on there?!?!
  18. Looks like it's almost time for the wiring harness!!!
  19. The Honda one looks like it might work. I think the Legacy one might be too big,,not sure on that though
  20. Yup! So you gonna buy it?!?!?! It seems to be a sweet little car, lots of new parts and previously owned by a member on this board!
  21. This actually listed in the for sale section of this forum. It has a 5 spd because the po did the conversion in it. I was actually thinking about getting this car but I don't have the cash. I say go for it. Parts are getting hard to find on this side of the country. But most of the time you can get parts shipped to you from out west. I would definitely buy this car if it was me. Oh and even the 85's came with a 4 spd in this body style! Only the EA82's came with 5 SPDs, except for the 2WD EA81
  22. I don't see why not as long as care was taken. I bet they are held on pretty good, so it might take a little while, but I bet if you had to, you could!
