  1. That's cool. But only buy OLDER American cars, cause now they are built like crap:-\
  2. That's good to hear. I'm pretty sure that it's ok, like I said I drove it for at least another 5 minutes after it happened and there is no metal bits on the magnet when I put it down into the cylinder. So about this thread repair thing, can I just go into NAPA and ask for it and they'll know what I'm talking about?
  3. Well it ran for about 5 minutes after this happened and I also attempted to stick a magnet down into the hole and came out with no metal pieces at all.
  4. Its a 2000 so it has the SOHC. That sounds good, so I can just go in and ask for one of these at NAPA and they will know what I'm talking about?
  5. Yeah I have had the car for a year and a half, so it's my bad. I haven't touched the plugs on it. It has never skipped or had any issues, except for the HG's leaking. I'm pretty sure the piece was eaten by the motor!! "The gap is wrong" Thats funny! So yeah, can I just ask for a heli coil for a spark plug ? Or what? Thanks as usual guys!!
  6. I was heading home after work in my RS, and I came up on a tractor trailer that was turning. So I had to stop and wait until it turned. I then start to take off and felt this slight shudder and then a really loud noise. I thought that somehow my exhaust had fallen apart. There was a loss in power and it was really loud. So I get home, leave it running, pop the hood, and take a look. The noise was coming from the drivers side valve cover area and I immediately thought the worst! Then I saw my spark plug wire with plug sitting beside the valve cover!!! So that explains it. With further examination I found the hole is stripped and the little piece on the end of the plug was gone, I dunno where, but it's gone. So how would you guys recommend fixing the hole? Here is a pic of the plug
  7. Glad you made it back Rob!! Again it was awesome meeting you and hopefully we can meet up again next fall. Just hit me up!!! -Jason
  8. Sounds feasible to me, at the most, you might want to put some supporting wood of some sort from the floor to the rafters/joists. Just in case. But I'm sure if you can jump up and down on them than it will be fine
  9. I'm sure there are more than one. Maybe check on Nasioc
  10. Oh man, sorry to see that loss. Glad you are ok minus the being sore part. Make sure you get your money back out of it. Insurance should take care of it, and then you can buy another to replace it with. Good luck!!
  11. Well obviously I wasn't there but it looks like you had a great time!!! Rob, it was an awesome privilege to meet you and hope to see you again!! Definitely let me know if you are heading out this way again. And hopefully I can come visit you in the future!! Thanks for meeting up and the great conversation!! -Jason
  12. They do make the same type you have pictured but in a good brand. I'm not sure who makes them but I know there are some good quality aftermarket lights made
  13. Yup they will fit, the only cosmetic difference between your car and the WRX is the hood scoop
  14. no there are no pics in the post. I will take a lookie. Looks nice!! Is that one that was for sale on here?
  15. Sounds good. Inside and out!!
  16. Rob is on his way!! I just talked to him and he is nearing Newport from Presque Isle. He has lots of driving ahead of him yet. I will be meeting up with him in a couple hours or so.
  17. So how bout some more pics and maybe some of the build?
  18. Cool car, and it actually has the power to turn them big tires!!
  19. Yeah, toe them babies out a touch and it should help a lot. When you simply drop the strut, the natural suspension droop causes the tires to point in a little, so toe them back out a little and it should help

I would definitely advise getting yourself a dual range tranny before getting tires that big and aggressive. Big tires like that will cook your tranny and you won't be able to turn them anyway, believe me I know!!
  21. Thanks everyone, sounds like I will hold off. If I had more room and time, I would take on the project of changing out the tranny etc, but I don't so I won't:grin: But thanks for all the info!!!
  22. I still don't understand this. Something is wrong....period. I have made several 2" kits for several of my cars . I make them with NO camber correction and they do not wear tires. I mean yes, they do wear the outside a little faster than normal but I have driven thousands and thousands of miles and still have the same tires. Something has to be wrong somewhere! oh, and I made mine with a sawz all and a hand drill, so they definitely weren't professional
  23. So what were the issues with the SVX autos? There is one very close to me for sale for 800. The guy says it shifts slow and goes into gear slow. Is there an easy fix or.....?
  24. I'm gonna see what I can do!!! It all depends on what time you'll be coming through. It so hard to get time off work:mad:! But it would be best if it were later in the day, but again, I'll see what I can do, I'd definitely like to meet you!!
