  1. :lol:I know that, I was just wondering the symptoms, which you included. That sucks, never had one do that before!
  2. That sucks! So what did it do?
  3. Wash very well, often, especially during and soon after the winter months. Also oil the underbody!! And holes, seams, and cracks and crevices. I use NAPA brand chain and cable lube, it spreads and soaks in very well.
  4. Same if not worse here in Maine. It's a shame.:-\
  5. Very nice!! Great job keeping it clean!!
  6. If you pop out the panel in the bed, and use your foot, you should be able to push out most of that dent...........ask me how I know:rolleyes: Great pics, and looks like it preformed well!!
  7. I saw this on another forum. This is why I love my Forester XT so much!!! It will go really fast, but the insurance is the same or a little less than my 2000 RS was!!!
  8. Man if my BRAT was all registered I'd be all for it!! I am actually trying to sell my Brat right now though, you interested?

Haha that's awesome!! Yeah a lot of people just look at it, like wtf?!? But I love it! I can fit tons of stuff in it, and go real fast at the same time:lol:

Thanks!! Yeah it goes real good, and handles awesome with the WRX struts/STi springs combo. And no more wheelies when I gun it!! I will soon be going stage 1 for now, and then in the spring, I have a set of Forester STi wheels being held for me, and I'll get a down pipe and go stage 2!!! Can't wait

Pics of the new ride height Let me know if you can't see the pics
  12. Bearings are easy to replace. I don't have the special tool, but I just use a hammer and punch, it's always worked for me
  13. To answer the original question, the newer turbo 2.5's are pretty solid motors. The ones in the Bajas and the Legacy GT's have a problem with the main bearing slowly going, which usually causes the turbo to fail first and then later on the bearing finally goes. As for the N/A 2.5's, yes they have hg issues. And I have seen MANY go at 50k and also see MANY go at 70k, so it's the fact that you never know when they are gonna start leaking that sucks!! A HG failure at 50k miles on a Subaru would rub me the wrong way, and it did!! I won't own another. I took the gamble and lost. Yes they aren't hard to change, if you have the tools and know-how, but if you don't, it's very expensive.
  14. Very nice stance!! Gotta love a nice handling car that still rides nice!

Now I got WRX struts with STi springs!! It sits a lot lower and handles a lot better!! It also doesn't squat so much in the back when you get on it. I'll get more pics when my wife gets back from Arizona with the camera!!
  16. Here is a pic of my old RS, it's not finished, the new owner plans on bigger tread, and skid plates. Right now it just has Forester struts on it
  17. That's cool. I have a friend that made a custom lift arm on the front of his 96 GMC diesel pick up. It hooks up to the plow gear and works great.
  18. Awesome!! I sooooo want to do this o mine!!! I just need a whole bunch of parts!! Keep us updated!
