  1. I'm with you guys as well, I am really organized. Maybe a little too much sometimes
  2. Lookin good! It's great to see you putting lots o time and effort into it. Very nice car!!
  3. Yeah, I'm really looking forward to getting it! I already test drove it and it went great, but has plenty of room for improvement!! Which is so much easier in a turbo, and the 2.5 turbos that come in these Foresters are really strong and dependable motors, nothing like the EJ25's. I also am looking forward to all the room for the family. I will post some pics when I get it!!
  4. I will be picking up the Forester XT tomorrow afternoon!!
  5. Yeah the XT is really nice!!! Very clean and well taken care for. And comes with a bunch of good stuff as well. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!
  6. :lol:Yeah it seems that way. Subaru360- The forester is actually for sale by Gabe, the guy you got the front clip from. Durania-yeah the hood scoop and the vents were pealing badly. They all do, even the obs hoods
  7. They look great. I did the same with my 89 GL. I love them so much more than the stock seats
  8. Here is the last pic And one of me taking my plates off, it was raining....HARD!
  9. Looks a little banged up, but solid!! If you have the tools, it's an easy job to put the motor in
  10. So I sold my RS today. I had it two years and over all it was a great car, and I loved it. But, the head gaskets were leaking, and I really need a family car. The two door didn't cut it for me, my wife, our daughter, and the dog. So if all works out, we will be getting a 2004 Forester XT. I will definitely post pics if and when I get it. I'll miss it, but it will be staying "in the family" The new owner is on mainelysubarus.com a local Subaru forum I'm part of. He has lots of funds and plans on putting Forester struts on it and making kind of a rally car out of it for his own personal use. And it is currently sitting at a garage getting the head gaskets done, so it will have a good home, and I will most likely still get to see it and even work on it.
  11. Yup I have done several lifts like Jeff as well, and no tire wear issues
  12. Hey man! Cool to see you joined, welcome to USMB, lots of great people and knowledge here!!
  13. Very nice!!! Don't get discouraged with the Brat, it's worth the investment. Fix it up, take care of it, and keep it!! Very nice RS as well, I have one in BRP. I want your wing!
  14. Thank you! Here is a more recent pic
  15. Great video. Looks like you guys are blessed with lots of old Subarus!!! They all look great
  16. Here's mine on my Brat
  17. Well I got it in. It wasn't exactly the way it said on the package but it worked. You are supposed to use the plug to thread in the insert, then take the plug out and use the supplied punch to "set" the insert. The plug would not come back off. Now there is a possibility that once the loc-tite hardens that I will be able to remove the plug and use the punch, but as of right now, it is in and tight and the car runs without horrible noises anymore:banana:. I used grease to keep the shavings out of the cylinder, I'm sure a few pieces made there way in, but hopefully those will be burnt out etc. But I let it set for a while and then took it for a spirited drive and it's all good, so hopefully it stays that way!! Thanks for the help guys...as usual!
  18. Ok so I got a question....again. After I tap out the hole, how do I get the thread insert waaaayyyy down into the spark plug hole and tighten it into place? As everyone knows, the distance from the top to the bottom of the plug hole is big!! So how can a put it down in the hole? I was thinking maybe of threading the plug into the insert and then putting it in, then removing the plug to tap the insert into place to lock it. Any ideas? Thanks
  19. well I just found some at car quest. It is basically the same kit as the time sert, just car quest brand instead. I will get around to fixing it sometime soon and give an update. Thanks!
