  1. I'd love to see it! That sounds awesome though. I'd love to try the same thing!! I never thought to try fitting newer squirters in the old hood. I bet it works great!!
  2. Thank you! Yeah maybe a little. I still really have to put some 4WD struts in the front. It still has the 2WD struts from its 2WD days. That would help. I plan on doing a little trimming of the front valance, and other than that, there hasn't been any rubbing yet.

usually the rear diff has more clearance than the front
  4. Alright, got the tires mounted up, so here are some more pics!!
  5. Yup I did the same with my 92 Loyale that I had. I added the 85-86 squirters along with the hood ones
  6. I use them to oil those parts of the body so that it doesn't rust

Very fast! I would suggest dropping down the front crossmember at least an inch along with the 2" strut lift
  8. I don't have a pic, but if you're looking from the front of the engine, it is just in back of and to the right of the throttle body. It is way down in there on top of the lock. It can be a pain to change!! It has either a white or green plug on it.
  9. Yup, the only bike I'm riding is a Kona Cindercone.

I still don't understand how any one runs such huge tires on stock drive train! My Brat has 26's on it and it is def starved for power and is hard on the clutch
  11. You won't get that camber fixed with an alignment. It is also hard on your front axles. The best way to go would be to install a full lift kit.
  12. I would so love to see your Rex eat this car!!! If you can, get some video!!!
  13. I always lightly take a scotch brite pad on my cordless drill and take all the corrosion off. Then I take a light coat of never seize and apply that to the wheel where it meets the hub. It seems to work pretty well and lasts quite a while. And the best part is no more alloy wheels loosening up after time, and you don't ever have to retorque them like a lot of people say to do.
  14. Well I still want to make it, but not completely sure I can. I have a lot going on. I got a new job, I watch my daughter every night after work so that my wife can work, and I still have not registered my Brat or the new car yet. So I don't want to register a car for the show until I am positive I can make it. Believe me I want to!!! There are just no more old school Subaru people around me anymore and I'd really like to come meet you guys and actually talk with people that have the same interest in cars as I do!! I'll do my best, I just don't want to say I'll be there and then have it not work out.
  15. I think the tires I have kicking around are 235 60 15's. They aren't super tall but they will give a few extra inches and they are pretty wide as well. I'm putting those on my 15" Pug alloys.
  16. I certainly did not notice anything.
  17. Take it off, it does help a little and you won't notice it too much at all on the road.
  18. ^Mother of god! That is just plain scary!!^
  19. I agree, no hurry. I completely understand the urge to get a nice new car, but I regret getting my first one. I loved the car, but the money I spent for the amount of time I spent it was really sucky!! You could get something really nice for a lot less.
  20. Yeah, I saw that you guys had issues with the block in the rear, so I used flat bar instead. I still want to run a brace across the face of the flat bar. But it will be fine for now. I can't wait to get my wheels and tires mounted up!!
  21. I have never had an accident and only one ticket. And I just got the ticket, so the price hasn't changed. It could be because your SVX is older, and a 2008 Impala isn't worth anything after it leaves the lot, so it isn't valued high by the Ins. company.
  22. Yeah I remember when I bought my first car from a dealer, it was a 97 Impreza L. I was 19 and ins. was 225 a month. It sucked!! Now I'm 24 and have a 2000 RS and ins for my car and my wifes 99 Saturn is about 145 a month. Full coverage on mine and liability on hers
